Very recently you've started to think about the boys growing up and how they might not want the same things in the future whereas I think in the past that was too painful. It's great to see this positive change in you and your family.

All the board games could also be kept in the laundry room where your craft stuff are now. Especially as you are going to make a craft area in the basement.

You've done such a good job with both boys rooms! It seems like there's been a real shift in you recently, like the boys growing up and having to get rid of baby toys isn't such a scary thing anymore. It's a positive thing as now you've given them both space to express themselves, have the things they love around them and they can finally use and appreciate them. You've given them freedom to be themselves and to grow up which must fill your heart with joy :) So proud of you!

Miss Heart I just wanted to tell u that u r helping me so much. I have hoarding tendencies and like u have an emotional attachment to my things. Even things i don't care about i care about!!!! I have been watching your journey from the beginning and have seen your absolutely huge improvement at being about to make quick decisions to get rid of things and more recently your natural choices on organising. This year I am finally able to declutter and organise my house. I am so happy that I am able to do this with minimal stress and anxiety. It's like something has just clicked and I am able to think more logical about the things I don't use or don't need or just don't have room for. I want u to know that u have helped immensely. I know I wouldn't have got to this stage if it wasn't for u and Clutter Bug and Erica Lucas. But I give u the most credit because I can relate the most with u. Thank u Miss Heart for changing my life and my children's lives for the better. U r an amazing teacher.😀❤🇦🇺

WOW!!! U look like a professional organiser in this video! Every thing looks great and is very functional too. I would use the white shelves in your laundry for all the family games. Easy access for the whole family. I wouldn't put them in your lounge room as it will make it look too busy and cluttered.
@tngirlz46223 жыл бұрын
Agreed- somewhere easily accessible but out of sight is best. If you put them in the living room, they’ll always be in your line of sight when eating dinner, relaxing on the couch, etc. I, personally, don’t like a lot of visual clutter, but you do what works best for you and your family. Amazing job on your boys’ rooms - bravo! 👏👏👏🦄

Oh wow! Looks amazing! One thing that I can recommend once your collection is more manageable store the board games vertically like books so it's easier to pull out and put back in. Also the top shelf can now store their off season clothes as well since they don't have to reach it and you dont have to do it often :)

Great job.. I said that to... One place will be great for the games in the living room. When you organize your games.. Vertically stack them on their side next to each other (like books on a book shelf) ... Then you can pull them out like easily.. A tip from eg "do it on a Dime" in an organizing video. Also games you know you will never sell or give away you can also put in zip lock bags to save space (because game boxes are often bulky) on the shelves. I did this.. It saved so much space😊. You need to label your zip lock bags with the crafts in them.. It makes it easy to put stuff back in if he takes something else but doesn't use it while crafting. It is great he can display his Lego builds... My kids love doing that to!
@corinnestauffiger56933 жыл бұрын
The ziplock bags also work great for lego sets. We do not keep lego boxes. When you organize the boardgames in the living room I would firt think about if you prefer an open storage or a closed one, wich one works best for you? I prefer closed cabinets because it looks much cleaner. But it tends to become chaotic inside so I have to keep up with cleaning. Girl, you did an amazing job you even established a declutter basket so you are now ahead of me 🙈

You have those great baskets in the living room cube system that you could use to house the family board game collection. I've seen on other channels that they make bags that are thicker then zip locks and are specifically made to house board game stuff. Boxes fall apart anyway, so that way you can have them and they don't take up so much room. :)

The boys rooms look great. They have their own rooms to use as getaways which is good since a lot of kids are having a hard time being around their family 24/7 with no break to go to school or be with friends. For the mask(s) I suggest hanging them up use command hooks or pop in a nail they add decor too.

Those storage containers from the Dollar tree that you used in the drawer are great We actually did that And it holds up nice. I will say I have purchased the larger sizes and have used those for things on shelves and they do not hold up If you go to another store and find a sturdier basket for cube shelves and such they hold up way better. We actually have some storage cubes we bought at Aldi which work amazing. So if you do ever see those and you're in need of more cubes snag them up.
@kalokater3 жыл бұрын
Wow, it looks great! In case this is helpful: I have a lot of board games higher up in my closet and it was less fun for me to take them out and put them back if they were stacked. I put rubber bands on the larger ones and put them standing sideways/upright in my shelf so I can easily pull them out and put them back. The smaller/lighter games are in a medium sized bin and the content is written on the front. The plus side besides that it is easier is for me is that it also looks more pleasing to my eye. Of course for someone else it may be more annoying to put the rubber bands on and off. For me, however, this system works really well. :)

So beautiful and calming for the eyes where everything have a proper home. Easy to see and access. Truly amazing you have come this far and seemingly no panick attack making you have to pause. I really liked that you still made a good temporary home for things you plan to organize ”better” later, move later. I find such projects can be far to easy to just put in a pile for Later. Then what you planned on fixing before you put them away drags on because you know Life. And it looks messy and guilt-trips you like daily. Work in progress for me(A).

Glad to see how you recognize the traits they have from you and vise versa. My thing is when I go to thrift stores I see potential uses for things. I work in childcare and love finding items for the kids or any future ones I might have. I have to really weigh what I want it for, for whom, for what purpose, etc. It's really only a process I can do. I just got a couple of games from a thrift store and am slowly going through all of them and deciding what I do and don't want to keep because I thrift them all. You're doing amazing!

I hope this helps

One idea I have seen is putting all the game pieces for each individual game in a plastic Ziploc bag that way they don’t get lost and you get rid of all that cardboard additionally you put the instructions in the Ziploc then you could file them.
