We use an All-Clad Immersion blender and use the same model in all of our classes. It is also the model we recommend to our students too. No affiliation, just a good quality machine and the one we have found that works best for our needs. Coupons can be applied in conjunction with sales at stores like Bed Bath and Beyond and Williams Sonoma. If you have a weaker blender, consider taking breaks or switching to a LTHP process instead!

Great jop lady .I liked him so much. But when beganing makes it yesterday. For(1 kg oil olive oil and laure) find soap calculated. Gave me ratio of cleaning. Conditions. Creamy so low .what I can do

Ashlee, if we use this kind of method, how long the soap ready to use? the same just like traditional aleppo soap?? because the traditional Aleppo soap need 6 months curing time right??

Although the saponification process is finished in just a few short minutes, a cure is still recommended. Traditional Aleppo soap is cured from anywhere between 6 months to 2 years. We have found that a minimum of 6 months provides a more gentle and bubbly soap, although you can certainly use a test sample right away while the rest gets even better!

Aleppo soap has not got an ‘appellation controlee’ so any soaps with olive and laurel berry oils can be called ‘Aleppo soap’ even if they are made differently from the ones in Syria. Thanks Ashlee for showing this quick method of making soap. Aleppo soap is one of my favourite soaps!

Does this HP soap need to cure for six months since it was heated?

While hot process soaps "can" be used immediately after unmolding, we highly recommend curing all soaps- hot process included. Traditional Aleppo soaps are made using a hot process methodology and are cured for 6-12 months for their best results. We invite you to try the difference between a new bar and one that has cured for an extended period, especially with recipes like castile and Aleppo bars.

@@swatikohale8224 Aleppo soap should be cured for 6-12 months. Additionally, humidity from either the environment or from your shower will cause a change in the soap. Store all soap in a cool, dark and dry location in between uses and be sure to use a soap dish that allows the soap to completely dry.

Smells like laurel berry oil! I find that the smell fades over time and produces a really earthy and natural aroma. Some people absolutely love it, and others don't. Just like some people like sandalwood, and others don't. It is a unique and personal preference!

Aleppo soap is made with olive oil and bay berry oil that has been macerating for many months, it is completely green, although it is made hot, it needs much more water because it has to cure about twelve months. It will finally be a golden brown block on the outside and green, very green on the inside. My grandmother did it with the traditional recipe passed from generation to generation. I saw it made many times, Aleppo soap has exceptional properties but a laurel berry soap is not an Aleppo soap. You need a patient and long process. I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend you.

@@pinguij7786 Aleppo soap is made with laurel berry oil and olive oil. A simple Google search will provide you with this information. We also recommend an extended cure period of 6-12 months if possible, as sodium olivate takes take to crystallize. With that being said, you can elect to make your Aleppo soap however you want- that is the beauty of handcrafted soap making.

You lost me with all of those additives. This isn't Aleppo Soap ❌, this is just some hot process soap with laurel scent.

Aleppo soap is a traditional soap made from laurel berry oil and olive oil, which this soap is. The additives are optional and are used to enhance the natural properties of the product to adapt to modern needs- a chelator to fight hard water and oxidation, sugar/sorbitol to enhance the lathering abilities, and sodium lactate the create a harder bar. If you wish to make with only the laurel berry oil and olive oil, that is certainly your prerogative, but to say that this is "just some hot process soap with laurel scent" is not only ridiculous and absurd but utterly incorrect.
