Without any growls, Tatiana would still be a chart breaking singer.

Could NOT agree more. She’s more than a single note; she’s a complete orchestra. The band melds so well together. The sum is greater than the individual parts.

Tatiana is quickly becoming one of my favorite singers. Her voice is incredibly pure and powerful, and that isn't including her growl. Her growl is just on another level. No, no. Her talent is on another level.

It's funny she's so talented and people focus on her for obvious reason, but she might actually be the least talented person in the band. That's how good Vlad, Eugene and Roman are. They're doing riffs and pulling off styles I've never heard anyone pull off and I've been a metalhead for 30 years and a musician for 25 years.
@ryanexsus
@ryanexsus 3 жыл бұрын
@@effindave6909 You can definitely hear the Ryan Martinie influence in Eugene's bass. LD 50 might have been the best bass tone ever. Apparently Vlad wrote like 9 of the 11 songs on this album so he's just an insane genius.

There's always so much focus on Tatiana that it often seems to be missed that the rest of the band are every bit as incredible as her. Every member of this band is a complete fucking beast.

Rather than just a "guitar solo", each member has parts that emphasize their participation in the whole. It's like a swirling vortex around the band members.

Remember that feeling when you heard Metallica's "One" for the first time? How this was a revolution in metal. Got the same feeling with this song more than 30 years later.
@Pizvo
@Pizvo 2 жыл бұрын
Jinjer just brought this aesthetic to the spotlight because they found the lost formula for not sounding the same as every other metalcore and djent band that focuses too much on copying specific hooks from their core influences, but let's not pretend like SikTh wasn't doing something conceptually similar to this on Death of a Dead Day back in 2006. It's just that they were so ahead of the curve back then they fell into obscurity and everybody from the scene who worshiped them focused on copying their sound and technique instead of matching their talent and songwriting. I like Jinjer, they are very talented and skilled as musicians, but original and revolutionary is not attributes i would give them so easily.
