Shifting of ITCZ is one of the main factors affecting the Indian monsoon .Other factors are heating of tibetan plateau, El nino/La nina Indian ocean dipole, High pressure near Madagascar ( Mascariene high ),Shifting of jetstream, easterly jet stream etc .
