If you freeze your bananas and add almond milk they taste AMAZING. It comes out thick and so good.

*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*

Once I got the vitamix, my banana smoothies tasted significantly better. The vitamix makes it perfectly creamy. With my old blender, my smoothies ended up a little more chunky and it wasn't the same.

I like to drink mine right out of the blender, 3 bananas, scoop of protein powder, or unsweetened cocoa , maybe a dash of frozen spinach or frozen blueberries. I am blending about 9 bananas a day. Love it. Especially its hot out and I want to have something cool to prevent sleeping muscle cramps from being dehydrated in the july virginia heat.

If you use frozen bananas, you will need to add a lot more water otherwise it won't blend properly.

Yup! It has a good amount of fiber and its cleaning you out. As long as you're drinking enough water and not getting constipated, it should be ok. More frequent clean outs are a good thing :D I've been eating this way for a while now so it's only once or twice per day for me.

Nope! Not at all. That's a perfect meal if it's from raw fruits and veggies. Gives you good energy and you won't gain fat from fruits and veggies. I've been eating like that since August and it's been amazing. Getting leaner really fast, no matter how much I eat, and I mostly work on my computer all day. :P

It doesn't have to be water. It can be any form of liquid you choose. But you do need some sort of liquid, otherwise it won't blend properly.

heyharrystyles1 There's nothing bad or unhealthy about natural sugars from fruits. It's only processed/refined sugar you need to worry about. Fruit naturally has enough fiber to regulate sugar absorption and prevent huge insulin spikes that are associated with consuming processed foods.

Real science says that bananas have plenty of fiber. Enough to regulate carbohydrate absorption just fine and prevent constant insulin spikes that could lead to diabetes. There is definitely such a thing as natural sugar, as you can see by looking at what a banana is made of. Eating 10 bananas does not have the same effect on your body as eating a 6 ounce pile of processed sugar.

ASFx2600 Glucose is Glucose. Sugar is Sugar even if it comes from natural sources. This is no exception at all, if the bananas are ripe they're pure glucose if not they're still fruitcose even when consumed will turn to sucrose then back to glucose. Bananas are High on thr glyxemic index higher than some chocolate bars. *Fibre has no effect on sugar consumption*, vitamin c does because it blocks the receptor, not fibre. If you were really educated on sugar consumption you'd know that.

In most cases yes, but not really a banana smoothie. It's kind of gross if you add greens :P If you want to add greens in a smoothie, it's much better to add berries and citrus as well to cut the strong flavor of the greens.
