у них там таких скоростей нет,поэтому видимо и не боятся.ну и во вторых...они там по другому на вещи смотрят,не так,как мы...для нас,большинства,важно крутая машина,телефон,дом,бассейн дачи т.п...а у них по другому,приземлённей-чтоб сытыми быть,вода на голову не лилась,род продолжить,здоровыми быть им и детям...,а уж какие там диски-кривые косые паяные это на 10 плане... у нас люди без образования куда идут работать в городе?..правильно...продавцом на базар,в магазин,грузчиком...,а у них ремонтировать и восстанавливать на продажу то,что европейцы\из развитых стран выбросили на мусорку-проще купить новое и не страдать ремонтом...

Вы видимо не в курсе что Пакистан почти всю нефть и газ импортируют. Это там не дешего, а зп копеешные. Средняя зп у них 12 тыс р. И это официально. А газ почти весь спг по БИРЖЕВЫМ ценам. Из РФ им покупать американцы запрещают. Да и как диск треснет? Если им опять попасть в открытый колодец только. Ну да, он будет слабее нового. Но на нем и не будут гонять по автобану на 150км в час. У них там дороги в основном проселочные

Такое колесо с таким диском только камикадзе поставит себе на машину. Таких мастеров топить в речке нужно за такие дела. Дяди совсем не понимают что такое сплавы и их характеристики. Интересно много машин разбилось из-за их поделок. А самое смешное что в конце видео колесо не поставили на балансировку , а иначе я так думаю после напильников там 900 Грам на каждую сторону прилепить нужно что хоть немного было подобие баланса.

I’d be scared too, but metal is hard to break even if it’s a sheet, and even if it’s stressed. And these look like they belong on a small sedan. 4 Lug Wheels aren’t as common as 5 or 6 lug wheels.

I'm an graduate engineer, I know something about metals. What these guys are doing would be fine for steel rims. But aluminium? No way! Once an aluminium part has been bent, the integrity of it's metallic crystalline structure has been compromised and weakened. Bending it back will only weaken it more. I also miss here any attempt to bake harden the rims after welding. Maybe these "repaired" rims might be alright for slow town traffic, but they're disasters waiting to happen anywhere else were higher speeds are involved.

С Вашим мастерством проще было взять второй такой целый диск, сделать слепок(из песка как вы умеете) и поломанный диск расплавить и залить в форму эту. Потом так же на токарном доработать!

I’m a welder/boilermaker with years of aluminium welding experience and I’m sorry that rim was for the scrap, little dings on the outer bead or small inner cracks that slow leak OK weld it up, maybe not even technically legal in my country. But this is like a surgeon digging up a body and bringing it back to life. Dead is dead and that there was dead!!

Scary. Especially when you consider that you can buy used OEMs for a decent price. I've got a guy who sells anything wheel related, and I asked him about Chinese aluminium rims. He straight up told me that they break like icicles, and that he doesnt advise anyone buy them. And yet people still do. I bought used OEM VW/Audi alloys (16') with a few scratches on them for $250 and brand new chinese ones go for $350-$400 for the same size.

Aluminum alloy wheels are just about impossible to fix correctly. While I admire their hand craftsmanship, aluminum, work hardens when it is heated and reformed making the wheel soft and unsafe especially for high speed use. These guys are doing what can be called a cosmetic restoration. I'll also call the safety of that operation into question. No goggles masks and one one set of work shoes to be seen. So the craftsmanship is really remarkable and the way they do it with such simple tools is really great, but I am a trained locksmith and machinist and I know that the structure of the aluminum changes through heating and welding so that it only changes by a fraction can withstand the original load and that is exactly why such repairs are forbidden in our country because a car with such a rim is definitely a death trap.

There´s NO WAY to compare our quality/safety standards to them in ANY way !

Yup me too. I was a machinist for 25 years in Connecticut and an over the road driver with Fed ex for 5 years and if I even mentioned illegal welds to a dot cop they'd lock me up . Now as a machinist these guys throw safety out the window just like we did in my father's factory. So they can update all the stuff they want ,if ya ain't got finesse ,then nothing will work ,at best a fix like this would get me home at speeds of 25 mph Maxx!!!! And even that's pushing it ,and to make matters worse they are using open flames with their pajamas soaked with oil . Very dangerous to reassemble this broken rim to be thrown away and then roughly repaired. If placed under a computerized machine for wheel balancing, it will be totally thrown away because it is unbalanced by the aluminum fillings and welds. If used on the first hole it will be broken endangering your life or that of other people. A word of advice: repair pans or anything else that can be repaired and does not cause danger or damage to others!

I see people complaining about the safety of the repair. This was a cheap wheel, made of cheap material to begin with. It will probably be used on a low power, low weight, low speed car with high profile tire. So I don't think this repair will compromise safety that much.

Oh wow... heating the aluminum destroys any heat-treatment involved in the manufacture of the original metal and then building up the missing parts with a high-zinc alloy completely unbalances the wheel, to say nothing about this build-up being hugely weaker than the alloy from which the wheel is supposed to be made. So you end up with a massively weak, unbalanced rotating assembly on which your very life is balanced. No sir, not for me, no way!

Жесть! Алюминий без аргона и AC TIG не наплавишь. Предполагаю, что они используют цинк в качестве припоя. Цинковые прутки выплавляют из старых карбюраторов. Цинк в 2.6 раза тяжелее алюминия. Балансировка затруднительна, но для рикши сойдёт и так.

I’m afraid I’m with others on this- these wheels have been severely structurally compromised and however clever and cosmetically they have been repaired I’d not put on on my vehicle. If one came apart at motorway speeds you’d have a catastrophic failure.

Repairing rims is fine if you use the same metal/alloy as it's made of, but the melting point of aluminum is 660°C and iron is 1538`C so instead they're substituting aluminum with lead since it has a melting point of only 327°C but it's way too soft and that rim will break in a short amount of time.

I worked in this industry for 18 years and one thing i know for sure is that one does not apply excessive heat ie blow torch to an aluminium alloy wheel,the alloy components start to seperate and can cause fractures,if unnoticed then that is an accident waiting to happen,this reckless plain and simple.

its not discoloring its oxidation, why you remove top of melted metal, cos its oxydized and its scrap. thats why recycling with metal is a lie, you always lose like 20% when you remelt metal again
