When I was 14 year's old I worked as a candy stripper in a nursing home where my mom worked in the laundry. I met a man named Billy who had cerebral palsy. I would just push him around in his wheelchair and talk to him. Billy couldn't communicate with word's but I could tell he really enjoyed my company. When I was 17 I went to work in another nursing home and to my surprise there was Billy down the hall from me. Billy began to make loud noise's when he saw me. I went to Billy to say hello and I asked him do you remember me Billy. He was vigorously shaking his head yes, he was so happy to see me as I was him. Billy was gesturing for me to take him to his room, he had something he wanted to show me. Hanging on the wall was his minister license, I was so surprised and happy for Billy. Of course I congratulated Billy, I learned a valuable lesson that day. You just can't ever tell what someone else is thinking or feeling, I was definitely humbled. The last time I saw Billy he was in the hospital with pneumonia, he knew his time here was about over. There was no sadness, Billy was very intelligent and he knew that he was going to be taken care of in his afterlife. I continued to work in nursing and I had the knowledge I learned from Billy to alway's be kind to my patient's. It paid off more than once with other people who were like Billy, it also helped me to teach other's this valuable lesson in life. Elvis was very kind and understanding to take care of Gary, it give's me even more respect for Elvis. Thank you Ashley, I hope you enjoy my story about Billy.

These little known stories are the best ones to me. Elvis had so much love and compassion for people that's endless. He always did it quietly and never wanted credit. What an amazing video Ashley! Gary was such an amazing man, his body might not have worked, but his brain worked very well and he was very smart. I'm just in awe of all he accomplished in his life. Such a shame what all happened after his daddy passed. I know that was hard on them. Elvis and Gary must have been destine to be friends, or at least I think so. It seems Elvis never hesitated to jump in and help someone when they needed it. Gary devoted his life to Elvis and I was happy after Gary's daddy passed that Elvis put him on the pay roll. I know it couldn't last forever, but was sadden when Vernon gave him his pink slip. Nancy was a God send to Gary, and I feel she cared for him well. Gary knew he could trust her to take care of his precious gifts from Elvis. There was a reason he didn't tell his family about these gifts, knowing probably that they would sell them and he would have no control over them. Even if it was for help for Gary, those were still precious to him. I'm glad the court ruled in favor for Nancy. Can't wait for that interview!!! Great work Ashley, you knocked this one right out the ballpark!

Great research and presentation! It is sincerely heartwarming to see "a younger generation" (than me) so into Elvis and the enthusiasm and sheer fun that he brought to this world - Thanks so much, Ashley! I was always confused and concerned as to why Priscilla, knowing what Gary meant to Elvis, never tried to assist him once Elvis was gone? At least, I don't believe she did? And his dire circumstances gave of no indication of any outside help? However, on a positive note - Elvis NEVER gave up on Gary!

I love this story about Elvis, I had a friend like Gary named Billy but the story is very familiar. Bless those with cerebral palsy, they are very intelligent people who are disabled in some way's but are able to make their life count. I'm sure Elvis understood this about Gary, their friendship was truly beautiful.

What a great story on Gary and Elvis. I was sad when you said EP opened the door and both Gary and his mom were on the floor. How awful. He was a good soul, as I've always known. Helped them as much as he could. I'm going to finish these vids about Gary and Elvis, and Nancy. Thanks for this great and yet heart breaking story. You da best girl! ❤

Elvis presley was a unique decent kind humble hearted caring man he did do much good things for others the short time he was here. Always thinking of others ,,,,,,that puts slot of stress on you especially considering the life Elvis presley lived w everyone around him wanting something from him Elvis presley needed to be appreciated more a shown love w actions not just words I believe when Elvis presley Loved he loved deeply a forever a that was so true w God his wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie a his bodyguards to I believe Elvis Presley treated people like family.

I think Elvis was just the greatest, he did so much good. We will probably never know the extent of Elvis's kindness and generosity. People could relate to Elvis, his legacy will live on for many year's to come.

100% all of that. A few people have reached out that have CP as well. I can’t put myself in his shoes like that but Elvis was a wonderful friend period. Gary needed extra time to express his thoughts and Elvis gave him that. Even just that gesture was admirable, let alone the endless gifts! Thank you Anita! ❤️
