Once you have a kids, having a luxury of travelling less than 30min will definitely change your life. Not even super bungalow out of Semenyih can beat that.

After listening to your explanation on leasehold property, I'm glad I've always opted for freehold. By the way, high-rise properties do suffer from leaks, and it's never easy to get the person residing at the above unit to fix the issue! 😅

Enjoyed your opinion on this! My view: im ok with leasehold when it is for investment, as i have no interest in staying there. But i prefer my dream house a freehold, to hand down to my children and grandchildren. Also, love the tupperware water bottle and the facemask on the table. So typical of a work desk! Hahaha

But come to think of it, not necessarily they would want even if we are gonna pass to them kan? I could imagine if my atuk pass me his house back in kampung, I'm not too sure of what to do. Unless it's KL area then boleh lah hahaha:) Thanks for sharing Izz!!

To me, Whether buying for own stay or not is still an investment; maybe not now but for long term. It is a deal breaker for me when choosing a freehold or leasehold unless the place is super prime like Tropicana and having the mindset that I will not be able to sell the property in another 20 years or so.

When price are similar, of course freehold would be preferable. That includes me as well haha. Another way to think, if Tropicana is FREEHOLD, I can imagine the price of their properties... Thanks for sharing Alvin=)

Sadly when I choose to buy subsale property it is 5 years old and interior quite bad. Not worth the price

@@iherng my brother act get 370k, 12++kps, and Freehold ! but at bangi, ofcoz not prime location like KL 🤣 idk kondo or apartment, only have 10 level, rm1700 per month include maintenance, in KL kondo mostly 8++kps only🤣🤣

you said leakages and damages usually happens in landed and not high rise. why is that so?

Hi Nic. For landed houses, when the property is vacant and no one is using the utilities for some time, the water pipes are not used. But in an apartment, the piping systems are shared. So it's still used even if that unit is vacant=)

Can't they use EPF to pay their monthly loans?

That's one option. But not everyone wants to use their nest egg to pay up for housing loans. Thanks for sharing=)

@@iherng Thanks for your input. I'm from Singapore. Here everyone uses CPF (EPF equivalent in Singapore) for down payment and also for monthly repayments. It is common here. Didn't know it was uncommon there.
