Unsolicited tip: Outdoor lighting is best when it is down cast. If you can see the bulb when walking up to the house, try casting the light toward the ground where you can’t see the source directly and it makes it a more pleasant lighting look that doesn’t shine at your eyes. Good move turning down those lights though! If you added an attachment on the stair lights that helped cast the light toward the tread rather than out it might help with the brightness and light pollution.

Yeah i'd just add led light strips there and maybe keep them in an aluminium frame with frosted glass or smth. And some strips you can automate via HomeAssistant for example.

You could turn them on via your phone and GPS, if youre in proximity of the house.

And the leaf blower section had me laughing too! 😂 It’s so impressive to see you actually ditch the spilt level look and make the front look so nice and put together in the process. Watching you take on this project over the last few weeks motivated me to do some little things myself. So I painted my mom's dining room a new colour, moved the table and sanded and painted an old cupboard this last week. She was happy coming home from work and seeing changes, cleaned up walls and organised clutter. It was a total success. Rn I am thinking about reupholstering our dining room chairs but I need a new fabric that she'll like.

I thought the deck color choice was way off from the rest of the house. The house is a green-ish grey and the deck is beige…feels so out of place. The ceiling is even way more off in terms of wood veneer choice. Coulda gone with something leaning more towards grey.

It's like you are reading my mind. When you started building the furniture, I thought that you need a sofa for the dog. Few seconds later *poof* here's sofa with dog on it. Same thing with the white planks front of the porch. I absolutely love every single design decision you made!

Stunning 😍 I recommend using felt tabs on the bottom of your furniture so you don't scratch the composite. I've had mine on for over a year...including thru the winter snow & they've stuck perfectly

I've been following you since you started the front. I found you originally when you did the pool. For some reason I lost you only to find you again when you started pulling the bricks off the front. Every Sunday is My time to watch you and how far you have come. The front of your house is so different than before if someone had been out of town for any length of time would swear it's a total new build and not an remodel.
