I am in Australia, and back in the 60s early 70s i used to buy them in Woolworths when it was still a variety store, they were very cheap and came in a few different styles, the name Imco stuck in my mind , but never had a picture on them, just coloured cross hatching, thanks for the video.

This lighter seemed wildly over-engineered compared to a common Zippo... but then at the end when you pulled the wick / fuel housing out made everything SO much more clear. Beautiful resto to a really unique lighter, glad a viewer helped on the bottom piece!

You are right, I have a small collection of amazing lighters, many of my friends didn’t even think that such things existed. Everything changed with the discovery of gas lighters, which are much easier to use.
