I love Gymkata. I saw it when I was like 7 years old and it has been etched into my soul. Because the character's costumes were basically just plain sweatpants and sweatshirts, my cousin and I could go into our closet and get authentic Gymkata sportswear and play Gymkata in the woods behind my house. And "play Gymkata" is not a euphemism for butt sex. We had a playset fort set up like the town of the crazies and everything.

The funny thing about Driven is that there's a scene where a wheel gets ripped off a car and flies into the audience. About 3 years before the movie came out, something similar happened at two actual CART (which is the racing series in the movie and basically Indycar 2.0) races where three people in the grand stands died in each incident.

For some reason I enjoyed watching these movies from when I was much younger. Those from this lost sure brought back a lot of good memories, maybe because like that one guy said, life was much simpler then. Most of these movies I watched on TV in the afternoons after school and then many years later in hotel rooms when I used to travel for work to Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.
