A traditional barre style workout with the addition of a Pilates ring to tone and chisel dancers hips and legs. Start with some upper body exercises on the mat and then move to a graceful set of lower body exercises to lengthen and define your thighs and seat. Utilize all the smaller supporting muscle groups that traditional strength training workouts usually miss. Sculpt that dancer's dent you've always wanted in the side of your hips and thighs and burn your way to a sleek physique!

Over the years, I lost my Mari Windsor Pilates cd that incorporated a Pilates ring. My Pilates ring has been collecting dust. I'm so excited to dust it off and use it for this awesome workout! Yay!

I loved this even without a ring!! Although, I am going to get one because I know it will work even better. I tied a band really tight to make it more challenging when we wore it around our thighs. I also wore ankle weights and alternated between my yoga wheel and pilates ball. I LOVED the format of this and how it was split- abs, arms, inner and front of thigh, and glute work. If you have time, more in this format would be awesome : )

Yes, even with other equipment this workout would still be tough. i will definitely be doing more in this traditional barre format. I have one more in the Pilates Ring series to make a total of 3 and then i will move on to some workouts with mixed equipment :)

Wow! My legs are shaking! Aside from the very last section, the workout went by rather fast. Thank you so much for doing a workout with the ring. I picked one up a few weeks ago from amazon, so it's great to be able to use it with your tough workouts. I'd love to see the ring in other workouts :)

Omg i was praying for child pose during the outer thigh part .. my glutes was crying for paracetamol .. thanks Linda for this excelkent workout . I am doing a 15 days challeng and will do this every each day plus some of the your cardio hit work out . Excited to see the results in 2 weeks !

🎉Have a question, what to do if a person is obese( extra weight) and can’t get into the ring ? 🎉

I would get them to use a resistance band instead. If they can' t use a regular loop get a long band and tie it into a loop

This looks awesome! I still don't have a ring, but I'm going to try it tomorrow or Tuesday using a combination of bands, yoga wheel, ball, and maybe add in some ankle weights. Thanks!! I'll let you know how goes using the other equipment : )

Great, yes let me know how it goes. It is worth getting a ring though cause it does feel very different to other equipment. There are heaps on Amazon! 😊

I don't have a pilates ring or yoga wheel but I really want to try some of these newer workouts you've posted. Of the two pieces of equipment, which do you think would be the best investment or the most effective and hard to sub with other types of equipment? Basically, which do you think I should buy?

I would get the pilates ring for sure. If you want to try both these workouts before having any of the equipment you can sub a resistance loop, ankle weights and a playground/barre ball for most of the exercises. 😊

Mine is actually from Pure Barre, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it because there isn't really enough padding so it can hurt a bit when you squeeze hard.
