Things to not fuck with: Wu Tang Clan, electricity, Bas Rutten.

Bas is probably the last dude I'd want to face in the ring. I don't fuck with those liver shots he gives out, must hurt like a bitch
@ChillPill36510 жыл бұрын
Bas, you were truly one of a kind. While most strikers either tried to avoid the ground completely or simply retired from the sport after losing by submission, you decided to immerse yourself in the ground game as much as possible in order to improve your overall fighting prowess. These videos are awesome to watch. Thanks for uploading them! The evolution of Bas Rutten, ladies and gentlemen.

+3rdcoastnyucka it would be so funny if the referree or someone else got in the way when he was doing that, they'd get a full force kick in the face!

Reminds me of David Lee Roth for some reason. If you are talking about the three victory jumps he does at the end of every fight that is.

I bought your DVDs and watched this… seems like 20 years ago. First time he did the leg lock, it was crazy fast. People who said Ken can’t fight didn’t see your fights with him, because there isn’t anyone who says you can’t fight.

Bas Rutten was doing High Elbow Guillotines already back in 1994. That's more than a decade before Marcelo Garcia learned it and brought it to bjj in 2005. Kudos to all these old time Shoot wrestlers for keeping the old school moves alive.

Bas Rutten High elbow Guillotining people since 1993. Yet jiu-jitsu pundits taught it was something "groundbreaking" when Marcelo Gracia started doing it in 2005. Clearly they haven't watch these old Pancrase fights.

I feel like some people who watch this think it's a wrestling match. This is basically mma with palm strikes and rope breaks.
@brothajack19935 жыл бұрын
He guillotined so many guys. It shows you that being proficcient at 2 or 3 techniques is better than knowing 20 moves sloppily.

Bas, what do you think of those "escape" rules and lost points? I love you haha, but if I have to be sincere, I really think they are stupid, just let them fight!

you fail to understand the goal of pancrase which was to make professional wrestling a very real thing

Rules - Five "escapes" are given to each fighter at the start of every match. An escape can be used when caught in a submission near the ropes, in which case the participant can grab them, be stood back on the feet and have one point deducted. Once a participant has used all of his escapes, it is a loss.

Going a bit off track regarding the fight. My dog was attacked by a pit bull the other day and the only way I could get the pit bull off my dog was to choke the pit bull with my dogs leash. Nice fight though
@JohnJohnson-hl4fv3 жыл бұрын
Bas Rutten you took too long to defeat Delucia. I would have hit him with my Pimp Slap New York Style with a twist of Chi by way of China with just a touch of vibrating palm at 30%, so that I would not kill him.
@zstidsen4 жыл бұрын
Bas was great, but these videos make me like him less... too pompous.
