I know this video is from two-years ago, but I wanted to tell you thank you. I have a few autoimmune diseases that affect my bones, joints and tendons. Today is a hurting day, but I didn't want to skip doing Pilates as I'm just newly beginning. I've done a few of your beginner classes aside from this. Your descriptive teaching is amazing, and your calm voice is soothing making your classes relaxing yet a nice workout. This video/class felt great on my joints, and I can't thank you enough.

Have you heard of coeliac disease? It's an autoimmune disease and I often get symptoms of inflammation. Now I'm wondering if it's to do with that 🤔

Dear Miss Mira, thank you for these beginner friendly classes. The help me so much:I do daily morning stretches and workouts at home and you are one of the rare good teachers on KZbin. Sometimes the are people only looking for attention, other times they do their best but they are not mindful and I have hurted myself too many times to trust them. With you we can go slowly, be careful with movements, avoid injuries and really developing our muscle tone and flexibility safely! That is super important!

I'm doing my best to honour my cycle, and according to Alisa Vitti's book, In the Flo, on Day 5, mat pilates are recommended. I wanted to go to the gym today but my lower back was not quite ready so I honoured my flow, and chose this gentle flow mat pilates video instead. I'm so glad I did. Thank you, this was perfect for what I needed.

Thank you for a true beginners class! So many beginner workouts are too difficult for me and offer no alternative poses for those of us that can't manage the more dynamic poses. It can be very disheartening to feel unable to complete a beginner workout.

I think what the original commentor meant by "you guys" or "super excited" is that the tone of voice used along with it strongly emphasizes friendliness and excitement when as you pointed out, it's not too professional and it may sound inauthentic as viewers/KZbinrs don't know each other personnaly (as far as one knows). I think it's more of a USA cultural trend.

Was recently diagnosed with a condition that makes it difficult for me to get up and down a lot due to fainting. I’ve wanted to get into Pilates but find some of the movements difficult due to this. Thank you so much, Mira. I stopped moving meaningfully and intentionally after I graduated from college. I've been feeling a lot of discomfort in my range of motion and overall mobility. This was actually beginner friendly and activated some muscles I forgot existed. I got a good sweat out of it, but I didn't feel terribly overwhelmed. I think it was a bit easier for me after I watched each segment fully before performing each exercise. Doing a movement for the first time while watching just ended up being distracting from good posture setting. Thank you for setting an amazing pace and for keeping the video focused.
