I’ve been cutting down on processed breakfast cereal by replacing 2/3 of my serving with hemp and chia seeds and using a coconut and soy milk blend. Find that I feel more full and less hungry throughout the day, which has improved my mood - just a whole domino effect of improvement. Maybe it’s placebo cause I can’t speak for or against it’s health claims, but I can definitely say more hemp seeds (or seeds in general) to gradually cut out the sugar-laden cereal and granola has led to improvements!

@Hempstar23699 жыл бұрын
+moonbear I agree. Whole Hemp seeds are best, and grinding takes away the problem of getting the shells stuck between your teeth. Soaking removes phytic acids and makes them more digestible but harder to grind, but great for blending into milks.

Phytate was abundant in hemp seed (also when hulled) (phytate 4 g/100 g), and could compromise iron and zinc absorption (phytates/Fe and phytates/Zn molar ratios above 20 and 15, respectively), as well as involve poor phosphorous absorption. Better when fermented with phytase enzym.
