I don't understand this concern about not judging... We all judge, it's a consequence of having personal preferences. In a rational world, there should be no problems with saying "hey, sorry, but your values don't match mine. See ya." Why is this such a sensitive thing to say to someone? If anything, it's completely sensible within the context of a relationship.

She's now an extreme right wing nationalist racist activist. The only good thing about her is that she's involved in animal rescue.

There are a lot of worthless PhDs out there. A degree doesn't mean much if it doesn't provide a means for producing something people want to buy. It's one of the biggest lies of the last 30 years.
@roberttraverso73525 жыл бұрын
@@JasonCloseOK You don't get a degree just to make money. You do it so you can make a living doing something you love.

@@roberttraverso7352 It is a rare case. Every book you read in college is free to purchase outside of college. The purpose of the University is to provide access to professors and resources (labs & tech). The content is available without the University facility in books. So I will agree that a degree doesn't need to satisfy your career requirements. But I would also say that spending the resources required to obtain a degree that is not going to provide income is something that only the wealthy can really afford to do. It's like owning 5 cars. Yeah, you can drive them because you love them, but it's not a situation I'd advise for the layperson.
@JasonCloseOK5 жыл бұрын
@@roberttraverso7352 Getting a $100k+ degree for "something you love" has put a lot of people in a lot of debt. I got my degree because it pays really well. It will never provide my dream job, because that dream job won't support me. So I made a sacrifice to get a degree that will reward me financially. There are many, many degrees that will essentially provide a level of income that is obtainable without a degree. Many degrees are in fields that are irrelevant an don't provide any sort of viable career. In many careers, people are getting degrees when they aren't needed. It has saturated the value of a degree. If everyone has a college degree, it's the same as no one having a college degree.

Don't know if I'm surprised at how backwards Bill's thoughts on this are. Legitimate concerns include an STD and that she did keep this secret from him, sure. But sex workers don't need to be "saved" unless they are the kind that need to do sex work just to stay alive/have addictions. There are plenty of legitimately fine sex workers who don't need to be saved, just respected, and this girl sounds like one of them. Granted she did lie, so I'm not saying she isn't guilty, but "help her"? Give me a break.

Sonofa Preacherman Sure there are some people who choose to do it - however, as explained, she had only told a very select few, meaning she is actually ashamed of it. But then again, I don't know the situation well enough - none of us do tbh.
@thotmorrison26499 жыл бұрын
Francosteiner I see where you're coming from, but there is a difference between being legitimately ashamed of something and being aware of how people will stigmatize you for it. It is just as likely in my opinion that she only told a few people because she didn't want people to be dicks about it.
