But for the most part, the public views Bill as the poster child for the left and Limbaugh for the right, making them both polarizing figures. I think the president made a calculated decision to avoid Bill's show because he didn't want to deal with the political backlash.

I believe in the last year, I've seen Maher bash Obama more than I ever heard Limbaugh bash Bush, McCain, Romney, etc in the last 15 years. Maher scolds the left as much as the right even sitting members of Congress that are liberal are sitting at the same table as him. I've never heard any conservative be lambasted more than once from Limbaugh. If the overall view of these two Maher is the symbol of the left, and Limbaugh is the symbol of the right, then people aren't really paying attention.

Was proud to sign it ;) Went the first night when the outpouring of support and site traffic had crashed the page. Returned the next day and sealed the deal by providing my signature. I like Bill Maher. I don't agree with everything he says or does, but he bullshits no one, like Trump and Sanders. He's informative, squirrelly, and is the only person my age (60) that's actually crazier than I am. Like me, he likes Ann Coulter, but hardly agrees with anything she stands for. He finds her warm and entertaining. So do I. He sees Islam for what it truly is. So do I. He thinks "Democrats suck" and that "they're horrible". So do I. He has no time for the Republican bullshit machine. Neither do I. I guess what I'm trying to say is that his honesty is just so fucking refreshing, that it's awfully nice to see it, and I wish more people in show business were like him.
