I’m 40 and would like to think I along with many others, and thankfully younger gens when exposed, are keeping Bluegrass alive with guys like Billy and others. Bluegrass almost died for a few decades in my opinion and I’m glad it’s back and both preserved-performed in its pure root form by purist artists and then transcendental guys like Billy that adapts it to stay relevant to the masses. We all love the original, but it’s damn cool to see it evolving also!

There are studio performances. And, there are live performances. Everybody gets their optimum performances down in the studios(or ,at least, pretty close). There ain't many that can do these live events the way Billy gets its done. As Bryan Mabe says, "The man is INCREDIBLE". I've seen him live 3 or 4 times myself. He "Brings It" every time! Sorry, I missed this event. It's about a 30 minute drive from my place. Catch ya next time. :)
