I’ve given up on dating. I’m a 32 year old lesbian. I got banned from a dating site for saying in my bio that I’m not interested in gender ideology or identity politics, I’m just living my life like anyone else and looking for another normal lesbian to date. The amount of hate messages I got was extreme. It’s very difficult to find a normal everyday person who doesn’t make being gay their entire life. It was my stated that being attracted to the same sex isn’t a personality trait and you aren’t special 😂 that was the ban.

As a normal, non woke gay woman I struggle so much on dating sites - everyone is insane. Modern LGBT is literally a cult. I’ve matched with some weirdos, but the absolute craziest one was a woman I matched with a couple years ago. She was cool and we had a laugh about pretty much everything, it was all going so well until a couple months in… I told her that I was losing weight. She asked me why in such a degrading, dehumanising way and I said “because it’s unhealthy to be overweight/obese so I’m changing my life while I’m still young and able to do so”. She literally told me that I was fatphobic, a red flag to the body positive queer movement and that I need to see a therapist as the opinions and beliefs I have about being overweight is nothing short of sociopathic and that she has ‘told all her friends about how insane I am’. For context I was obese at the time so me wanting to lose weight was a good thing, if I was anorexic and stick thin I could probably understand her saying I need to see a therapist, but fact is I wasn’t skinny, I was severely overweight and NEEDED to lose weight for my health. But yeah I blocked her soon after - especially after she told me that she had basically doxxed me to her friends. She let it rip with me and all because I said I was on a weight loss journey. Looking back I’m glad she kicked off so early into it, could you imagine starting a proper relationship and moving in with something like that? Naaaaah. Best of luck to her next victims 😂

This is a VERY recent development but I am seeing more of these profiles lately, you’re the first to discuss them! I’m a gay man and I have seen profiles pop up on my Tinder now of full-on biological women, showing off their boobs in a small dress and with long hair, ie presenting as full-on female as possible, and then have a paragraph long explanation of their genderfluid he/she/they, gay male identity! These are women trying to date gay men through the convoluted use of language and identity games!!!! And yet if I, an actual gay man, criticize them, I’m somehow a bigot?! This is insanity!!!
@ObnoxiousFeline2 жыл бұрын
It disgusts me that they do that to you gay men. I honestly believe it's because they turned gay men into a fetish via videogames/anime and now all these girls want in on it because they think it's cute. They become "nonbinary" or "trans" in some way and then just date bisexual men in order to be "uwu so gay". It's just straight with extra steps and it hurts actual gays. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
@swiftcastholy90342 жыл бұрын
Whats crazy is that like 10ish years ago when I was on dating sites I had guys literally shame me off of them because of presenting as female, I just hadn't put together that I was trans yet so I thought I was just "extra gay" or something. Now there are literal people of the genders a stated group is NOT ATTRACTED TO jumping in their spaces because these sort of people have no concept of actual gender as the rest of us see it. I dunno, it's just weird to see it come full circle I guess. I'm glad I'm married and away from all that.
@CordovanSplotchVT2 жыл бұрын
One might question why these women don't just find a straight guy and pretend he's gay for her male self-image. If she can make believe that she is a gay male, then surely she can make believe that he is one too, though he may be somewhat surprised and confused the first time she asks him to fuck her in her boypussy.

As a lesbian, we really do get the short end of the stick. We went from the original definition (woman loving woman) to non man loving non man, and then we end up with men who claim to be trans women or non binary trying to date us, and we're told we just have to accept it because that's how they identify. I've only ever seen this in lesbian spaces as well. Gay men don't have the issue of people changing terminology and trying to be included in their definitions. It's annoying, really. EDIT: When I mentioned trans women, I do not mean trans women who have transitioned and are legitimate trans women. I mean men so say they're trans women but don't do anything besides that to present or pass. Same with nonbinary. If you were born female then I suppose you can be a nb lesbian, even though I don't fully understand that. I'm talking about those who were born male, claim to be nb, and then claim to be an nb lesbian.

I actually did dating online for a while. Yes, you can get long-term relationships out of them, if you make it clear that you don't want sex. and you're on a Christian app, though there are a lot of people who aren't Christians on there... And you also have to be good at recognizing when they're using a VPN and know when you can give them a phone number. Just for chuckles, I wrote in my profile: "I don't have debt." I got a lot of interest. That was pretty funny. Who knew that coming into a relationship with no financial baggage would be viewed as so sexy?

My husband and I met on EHarmony in 2010. These dating sites have gone to shit. EHarmony had a test you had to take, you had to be serious about a relationship. I couldn't believe the amount of men claiming to be lesbians, some in bio said stuff like 'lesbian with a 🍆' etc she even had to change her bio to say No men. Only interested in biological woman .

The big word here is "ethical" in ethical non-monogamy. A lot of people are not equipped to handle that. It's a lot of responsibility. You need complete honesty, 0 secrets. You need to talk constantly. You need to set boundaries. You need to be very understanding of each others' needs. A lot of people I have met that engage in "ENM" will complain about their partners because they don't 100% feel the same about everything all the time and they'll be like "whatever they can leave if they don't like it". That's not ethical to me. You aren't compromising and communicating appropriately. ENM is a lot of hard work, it is damn near impossible to do if you don't have your shit together. It compounds all of your other issues and makes them bigger. Even as someone that engages in ENM I don't recommend it to anyone because it's a huge responsibility even for the best couples. Also ENM folks are often super mentally ill and woke. Aweful combo. Swingers are the most stable in my experience and usually aren't as crazy and political.
@GraveyardOrchid2 жыл бұрын
It totally is manipulation and gaslighting. Poly people have this “you should be grateful that I chose you to join my harem because I love you” attitude and if you question it, then it’s your problem and not theirs. It’s messed up. They’re using you for their own selfish and perverted needs. That’s not love.
