Back axle, down in foot square tunnel filled with oil, chains, and sprockets and your and using a mirror to see where you're welding. 🥺 And your welds still look perfect! 👏👏👏👏 I've seen BobCat techs torch 4x5 inch holes in the ends of that chain case for much easier access to internals. They would re-purpose a common transmission inspection cover plate by drilling & tapping holes in the thick metal chain case to make it a re-uasable access hole. 👍

I have hundreds of pictures of some pretty interesting repairs. unfortunately I wasn't able to video many of them. If there's enough interest, I can make video collages similar to this. Maybe I can combine a couple of projects to make the videos a bit longer so it would be worth the time to sit down and watch. Lets see what the comments say. 😊

@@ICWeld Don't feel you need to come up with a certain number of minutes of video time to make it worthwhile. Do what you think is right and it will definitely be worth our time to look over your shoulder. Been welding for well over 50 years and even at 72 I still enjoy learning, the journey doesn't stop. Well at least not until they nail the lid shut. LOL

The bent rod is interesting - my neighbour (who taught me to weld) worked in the shipyards - he had a small collection of mirrors for that type of work - he told me it was common place in ship repair. Cleaning the mirrors from soot was also common place! Great work!
