HE IS SO FUCKING SWEET. I saw him live and he was an absolute delight. Knowing he can be a fucking deviant during performance but is an angel when you meet them... You almost have hope for "you SHOULD meet your heros". Thank you for doing this interview. I love him so much and getting to hear his story. I saw Brandon live once and he is such a powerhouse. He was covered in sweat by the end of the show because he DID. NOT. STOP! The entire show. He ran around, danced, talked, laughed, acted, and MCed his own prerecorded segments. He was AMAZING. If you ever get the chance to see him EVER please please go see him! It was unforgettable! He was so kind and sweet and grateful and you could really see him sharing his heart. 🥹💖🥰

discovered shit about Brandon today. I love this guy so much, he's amazing and has struggled so much. the more and more I get to know him I realize that his dark humor is just a way to cover his trauma, in similar ways I suppress mine. our traumas are wildly different but I'm starting to understand why this guy helped me cope when I was at the lowest point in my life and going through trauma. You put everything I felt about this video in words more perfectly than I. I love Brandon and his videos give me so much life and happiness. His characters and Brandon as himself are the type of people I would be so happy to be friends with. He's definitely the reason for keeping me sane throughout my college years especially through the pandemic where everything just sucks and bad. Even at my worse, I will always go back to Brandon for comfort, even watching his older videos like the Theatre Class series makes me feel like Im walking on angry clouds

The fact Brandon said that humans innately know how to laugh from birth which means we inherently experience humour and desire bonds really strikes true to me. Humans and even some animals experience laughter (or closest equivalent) and by extent the emotions, and desire of bonds that comes with it, even at ages with little to no real sense of self or sentience. It isn't taught to you, it's something that sits in your soul and is drawn forth uncontrollably when interacting with those you love, or when something happens that creates that same reaction. Humans are inherently positive beings. For me, this even furthers the proof that negative people are the product of positive people put through negative experiences, and that humans aren't fundamentally evil beings like a lot think. It's cool to think about that fact knowing this, the question of human morality.

People are not evil or pure when they come into this world We are quite literally blank slates human morality does not relate to all people in the same way we’re all individuals who experience and have different biological make up there isn’t some God above us programming us to be a certain way when we come out the womb we’re just like animals bugs plants

I really find it fascinating too! I used to work with children who were a year and a half to two years of age. That period of life for a child is so pivotal because it’s their first time experiencing what the world is like beyond their past constraints. They’re walking, many can talk (on varying levels depending on age and the individual), and they’re learning how to interact with adults and children their own age. I’ve seen examples of extreme compassion from the youngest of toddlers. My favorite example is of one summer when I was watching four boys. I had one on the changing table and was dealing with that situation when one of the boys (he was younger than two) came up to me. It was summer so I had shorts on and he started poking at my leg. He started crying and said “owwie!” I was distracted and said: “Oh, you have an owwie? Oh no! I’ll look at it in one moment, okay?” But he kept whining and poking my leg and saying “owwie?” I finally realized he was pointing to a nasty looking cut on my leg (I’m a clutz, I get em all the time lol). He was sad because he thought I was hurt. I can’t even begin to explain to you how I felt in that moment. I couldn’t take my hand off the boy I was changing, but I so wanted to sweep him off his feet and hug him! I did assure him I was fine and that it didn’t hurt. But that was genuine compassion from a baby who was on the cusp of understanding how the world works. And it’s beautiful.

The section "escaping from reality" really hit me in so many ways. I never thought of laughter as such this valuable thing and I never realized that I do that with my friends as much as I can. I am always going through such a rough time but whenever I am with the few that I have (present and past) I always make it my goal and priority to make sure they have the best time possible laughing and just feeling free. I recently just made a new friend and the other day we went to lunch since we were scheduled for it at the same time, and we laughed so hard we wheezed and it was just such a grate feeling. despite the worst I have been though, every single moment of pure laughter has always gotten me to a place of peace within the chaos. Everything is making sense. Thank you, truly.

He actually went to my high school! I felt the same way during that time; I was always shy and seen as weird for similar reasons. Eclectic style, openly trans at the time, bullied since elementary school, all that. It’s so surreal hearing this from him, but I’m glad he’s opening up. Being bullied in school can feel so isolating and really affect people’s psyche later on. I hope he’s doing better now. And for anyone feeling this way, you’re not alone.

i met brandon in 2015 at vidcon during a talk he did, and when it came to questions he called on me first because i had "cool" hair, and when i actually got to talk to him, he was so kind and sweet. 13 year old me was walking on sunshine.

i remember watching him in middle school, and thinking he was the funniest dude. i also remember being in middle school and actively wanting to die because i felt so isolated from my classmates, like everyone was on a wavelength i didn't understand. i was bullied nonstop for being gay, and it was hell. watching this interview just improved my outlook tenfold. if someone as out there as brandon rogers can find his place in the world, i can too. incredibly well done

Maybe it’s just me going through a nostalgia phase with Dans comeback and wanting to combine it with my fav interview series 😂 But Dan’s going on tour, so unless he stops in during his time in America, I imagine it’d be a while until he’d have the times. Fun to think about tho

I'm only about 5 minutes in but it's so crazy how INSPIRING Brandon is from a creative perspective. I'm a writer, and ideally I'd like to be a writer professionally, especially in a Hollywood setting. He makes it look EASY! and FUN! And picking his brain via interview is one of the best ways to spread the buffet of his mind on the table. To work with or alongside Brandon is a dream at this point, but he really does inspire the shit out of me that one day I'll be this kind of successful.

This video makes me feel better. Friends always ask "how are you smiling talking about going through such horrible things?" I usually respond with the same things Brandon said such as "If I've gone through that and I'm still here able to smile, I can go through it again and be fine. It's ok to smile." And I know it gives them hope to get though whatever they go through.

This interview made me have a lot more respect for Brandon. His old sleep paralysis demon video really helped me see my sleep paralysis in a new light and not fear it so much. Having an imaginary almost humanized backstory for it (as silly as it is) really helped. Seeing him be so open and humble makes it even better.

Anthony, could you do a video on people with trichotillomania and dermotillomania? (I've already commented this before but, I just really want to get this out there.) Or just BFRBs in general. There are a lot but those are the more common ones. I have suffered with both for years and it would be nice to see other people's stories on it. Brandon is such a wonderful person! Not only is he super talented & hilarious, but he’s also super sweet. I had so much anxiety because my son was super hyper and he was an extra in one of his videos. Brandon told me how he was as a child and made it seem so normal which honestly gave me relief. Most times in public people react negatively to my sons hyperactivity and Brandon was so understanding! He’s a wonderful human being.

I really want Brandon to know how much if a good effect he has on his fans and how much joy he brings to the world. I struggle with anxiety in school, some of my friends know and that it is hard for me to come in, one if the things that helps me come in is meeting my friends at lunch. Most if my friends love helluva boss and Brandon, so during lunch I whip out my phone and we watch him together- almost as a way of bonding, and it really helps me to come in. Brandon makes people feel better with his content, me being just one of the many examples of that. He’s really helped me cope at my lowest (I know that sounds rlly cheesy but bear w me 😭) even during panic attacks I watch him, or helluva boss clips as a way to ground myself. Brandon is truly one of the sweetest and kindest people in the world, they way he interacts with his fans is so lovely. I really hope he comes to the uk sometime so I can go see him!
