This is the adhd brown noise sound that went viral on tiktok because it was able to help people with adhd get focus & sleep. This 12 hour brown noise is a useful sound masking tool, that can block out external sounds and distractions and be used in many different ways, especially for adhd. Compared to white and pink noise, brown noise uses mostly lower frequencies and is considered the most soothing to listen to of the three.
It is the natural sound generated out of the cabin of an airplane.
This track contains pure smoothed brown noise without any additional brainwave entrainment tones/beats.
Use it to:
Help you relax, fall asleep or focus
Block out distracting noise while you're studying
Calm babies and help them get off to sleep
Can help to calm and settle nervous and distressed dogs
Provide relief for tinnitus

I agree completely. I find the high frequency range of white noise irritating, harsh and grating to my nerves, but the deep, low frequencies of brown noise soothing and comforting, mind quieting. To me, it seems to be in a similar range as thunder, which I love. A gentle forest rain with rumbling thunder is my favorite sleep sound. Sometimes I add in a babbling stream/ creek as well. 🤎

I’ve never understood why people find ‘white noise’ so amazing. I’m 50 and only recently, after a few people suggested I might be ADHD, looked into the symptoms and realised how much of my life ticks all the boxes. Even KZbin’s algorithm started suggesting ADHD content, which is what lead me to this video. Now I finally understand why I sleep so well in the months when we need a fan going at night. I’d never even heard of Brown noise, but OMG is it soothing! Thank you! ❤

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 56. Suddenly the never-ending failures and consternations which are my eistence was made comprehensible. Finally I could do something about the chaos that masqueraded as my life. I'm still learning. But I am learning. I am now learning life skills that I should have picked up before the age of 10, buut could not. You won't believe how ignorant I was of all the things I do that drive other people up the wall. Just saying.

Thank you for this! At age 56, I took my first flight THIS YEAR. I enjoyed the flight so much I thought, I should record this for the relaxing noise. I wore my earplugs because I am sensitive to noises but I felt so peaceful and content during the flight and it was because of the cabin noise. It was a little too much for me without my earplugs so this is a very nice level of that cabin noise 😊

Using colour to organise your thoughts works brilliantly for ADHD, I found. For example, in stead of saying "I have to work on a file," say "I have to work on the blue file," or whichever colour you choose. It also helps if you imagine the pages inside the file also being blue then, or whichever colour you choose. Intead of saying, "I have to read and reply to an email," say "I have to read and respond to the yellow email... Jesus showed me this revelation and it changed my life with ADHD! I almost feel cured. Yay! I give Jesus all the glory for this new blessing in my life.

I think this is similar to why it helps me to do laundry by color. Instead of "laundry" being one big, sometimes overwhelming, never-ending task, I can break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces or mini tasks and feel more of that precious dopamine reward and sense of accomplishment when I can say, "There, now all the blue laundry is done." There's also a more motivating, clearer path, more organized plan to follow toward the goal: "Tomorrow, I will do the red laundry." You can even assign different colors to different days.

When I wake from a snooze on a plane, the brown background noise seems to suddenly get louder. Just learned that muscles around the eardrum can relax during sleep, with the effect of “gain control”

This quiets my brain and helps me have a more restful sleep. I had never before considered 🤔 using brown noise to focus on a task until I saw some of the comments. I shall try that today.

I'm becoming somewhat of a brown noise connoisseur. I keep coming back and coming back to this one. It's got a tiny little green in it, but very little white. Its loudness and its impedance are just perfect for me. I think this is my favourite for studying-with-ADHD.

I am adhd combined type. I used to hate noise or light when I was younger. Then when I moved from my busy city street out into the suburbs, the silence was painful. My babies started listening to white noise in infancy. I did notice that I had adjusted to it. Then recently I found green and brown noise. I eventually switched do brown. It’s so my more gentle on my sensory issues. I fall nearly right to sleep. I wish I would have discovered it sooner

It's too early to say if my focus has improved (I found this at 3am) but the release from anxiety and over thinking was instant and it made me so overcome with relief that I cried! It reminds me of the sound when you put your hands over your ears and can hear your own blood rushing around. Maybe thats why I cover my ears to relax or zone out...thought I was just weird!

I realized I couldnt fall asleep without my fan when I went out of town and my first night without my fan... was absolutely tortures..I tossed and turned ALL NIGHT... by 3am I was kicking blankets, sweating, swearing 🤬 heart pounding, finally jumped outta bed and into the bathroom where I prayed the bathroom fan was loud enough to hear.. and it was!! I remember thinking, "Im NEVER staying away from home again!" ... crazy that it a real thing! 😂 dont feel so in the closet about it now..😅 thanks for letting me come out.... 😂

Been using noise to sleep ever since my son was born 11 years ago and we bought him a white noise machine. Mind blown. Used white noise for years, then I came across brown noise and never looked back. I have now graduated to a jbl party box with a decent amount of base so I can feel the brown noise when I sleep. My only minor concern is that if anything happens while sleeping like a child waking up, intruder, or fire, I won’t know as quickly.
