All three of the "Cornetto Trilogy" are well-made films, that simultaneously serve as love letters to their genres, while enthusiastically taking the piss out of them. Modern cinema definitely has lessons to learn from them, as while they make use of the well-used tropes, they use them in original ways. My thought is, I wonder if it'd be possible to see a world in which the consequences of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and World's End could all occur in the same continuity, and what kind of insanity would result.
