I have a better plan if you can pin this comment I would appreciate it but only if you want to … What I would suggest is rewarding people 40,000 dollars for they to stop porn for at least 5 months. As an experiment and stop social media usage and engage in nature. But not sending them to prison out of the blue. It's a process. What do you think about my wisdom in how this earth should operate? One thing to mention if you vote, the swing states matter. If you are in NV, AZ, WI, MI, PN, NC, and GA, your votes matter way more than anyone elses.

It sucks to be in this kind of situation, I’m in the same boat as you. If you’re older and have access to a car, or your family shares the same ideology as you, you might be able to get involved in some groups in your area. There might be a mutual aid group that you would be able to help out at. If not you could try just getting more involved in and building community. Help neighbors, advocate for people in your city/town, raise money for places like parks and libraries. I know this isn’t exactly what you meant when you said you couldn’t do anything, but you can help your local community. Remind your parents/guardians to vote in local elections and decisions, and educate others on your viewpoints, if you’re able.

@@TheEducatedTrucker labels can be useful for understanding ourselves and aspects of our identities, especially when aspects like being queer are still seen as relatively deviant and othered in society, even today. I do agree with the sentiment tho, that we should get to a point where labels don’t mean anything because everyone is seen as equal by everyone.

Ive heard about Project 2025, and ive almost had multiple anxiety attacks from it. (Im a minor, pre-T trans guy who has super bad dysphoria and im also queer.) I get nauseous and dizzy to the point of passing out - I just experience pure, disassociative fear. I was too scared to research it, because i hated thinking about it and i hated feeling the way i did when it was mentioned. So im really thankful a youtuber i watch, who is a comfort for me, is going over it and is helping spread information about it; it lowers my anxiety a lot less. Thank you Samantha

@@Liyyaxx Some of my friends have talked to me about it so I wasn't completely oblivious, and I'm starting to research it, along with watching Samantha's video about it. Also I just have tendencies to think things to the extreme when I'm worried, and the only thing that gets me through being pre-t is just thinking about the future where I could be put on testosterone - but things like this could completely break that reality for me. Also I don't know abouy what Trump has denounced exactly, I'll have to do more research on that as well

Specifically because I'm seeing so many people aaying they're going to vote for neither. I don't want my rights or even my family's rights taken away simply because we're different from the majority. Any bill proposed that would actually help the average American gets blocked or delayed by Republicans. Republicans have been working hard to take away people’s rights and freedoms even before Project 2025. The Democratic Party is by no means perfect, but much of the party’s time has been spent trying to fix the mess left behind by Republicans.

DJT is now trying to distance himself from Heritage Foundation for optics, but they helped him with nominating all three of his SCOTUS picks, many of it's authors held cabinet positions and acted as advisers on much of his last terms policies. I'm terrified. I'm disabled and have been trying to get on SSI since 2017, the year I became disabled. If Trump wins I will never ever get on SSI. No one will, because he's gonna take Social Security away from everyone. I'm terrified and I'm angry, especially at the people on the left who are saying they refuse to vote blue because of Palestine! Do they think they're doing anything to help Gaza by not voting blue?? Are they trying to be selfless heroes? Or are they just trying to soothe their own egos while their house burns down around them? I've been losing sleep over this for weeks now. We HAVE to vote blue! Our lives depend on it.

As much as I despise Biden on the topic of the Palestinian genocide and believe him to be complicit in war crimes, I see no issue domestic or abroad being resolved in any way if these monsters are let into positions of power. That's why I'm still voting for him. But that is the singular reason I'm voting for him, honestly if he gets kicked out of the race I'd back whoever had the strongest chance of winning against these fascists. I was forced into 6 years of reparative therapy by these people from 1993 to 1999 via family & church blackmail. I had to transition late and it was horrible and my life was permanently damaged by testosterone impact. i was aware of being a girl since i was 5 and knew of no possible or safe way to do anything about it. I was considered extremely bright but spent so much energy in my young years conflicted that I never had enough left to create a stable career. I worked most of my life doing blue collar work (It is good work) just to give my mind something to focus on. I would never want for you, or any young person to be forced to conform to someone else's idea of what you have to be. I got involved in medical advocacy just as transgender awareness started to 'hit the fan' around about 2003, my first participation in a community event was the 5th anniversary vigil for Rita Hester's death in Allston, MA. I have retired from Advocacy for the past couple of years because my warnings about Conservative Evangelicals was seen as too "negative" and spoiling the generally lucrative business of the medical world pig piling into Transgender Health before doing their homework. I never got paid for any of it, but am proud to have participated with my own voice with the movement. I suppose I will step back up if 2025 goes into full swing. I will finish poor, but an not one to stay silent when injustice is happening or I know things that I can teach to others (even hostile others - I am fluent after-all in Evangelical Conservatism and can speak their language to show how they are not at all informed about things they think they know). It’s genuinely terrifying. The worst part is some of these sections of it aren’t actually written by professionals with adequate backgrounds. Roger Servino, the author of the Health and Human Services section, doesn’t even have a medical based or sociology degree. His degree is in Law. The fact that they don’t even care that the authors aren’t from the field and aren’t even experts is insane.

I grew up in the 90's, homeschooled in a conservative evangelical home and church, cut off from secular society and taught from birth about Christian conservatism as the only valid worldview. If anything, I was "programmed" to grow up to be a militant Christian conservative and loyal Republican voter. Guess what? I still turned out to be trans. Because I always was. Even long before I ever discovered that trans people existed. Throughout an entire childhood where I bottled up my feelings, told them to no one, told myself I was broken, that my thoughts were unnatural (when in reality, they were more natural to me than anything that somebody _taught_ me. I saw ZER0 trans representation throughout my childhood. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I fought against my true nature for half my life. It was only after accepting myself, that I began to experience a sense of fulfillment and peace. No one MADE us trans. We simply are. @@NightmareRose86

I’m disabled and queer, and hoping if shit happens I can either hide and pretend to be cis and straight or escape. My parents are pretty liberal (as in liberal democrats, not really left) and don’t actually understand how much if a threat it would be to me and my sibs and friends. It has BEEN a crime to be homeless! I literally have warrants now for unpaid tickets for panhandling! Despite the fact that it's not SUPPOSED to be illegal to simply hold a sign saying that you are homeless. It's understandable if someone is harassing people with their begging, knocking on car windows, not leaving people who don't want to be bothered alone, etc. But to just hold the sign and look down...then getting anywhere from $104.50 to $895.00 ON JUST 1 TICKET simply to try to ask for help... I'm not actually on the street anymore, but due to my warrants, I can't move forward, and I'm stuck in an abusive relationship, that I can't get away from, unless I want to deal with being homeless again (I would rather die). So I started a GoFundMe back in February to get help, but I can't post it on my social media accounts without risking him seeing, so I got only one $25 donation. Sometimes I just want to give up.

I’m disabled and queer and require birth control for a medical condition (not diagnosed tho) to manage my symptoms or I would be even more physically disabled. Bed ridden for half the year. I of course care about everyone who will be affected, I’m also just really scared because my healthcare and personal safety are also at risk. I want to flee the United States.

The other thing is technically i do not have what the state considers a legal residence. Don't worry I'm not exactly homeless. I live in a RV. Can't afford rent with the inflation that's going on. If you know what im trying to say i can't legally vote because the state that I live in considers me not a resident! I hate living here in the U.S. if I tried to vote because of that they will try to put me in jail. No joke. Hope for the best plan for the worst. Don't really know what to do if said worst happens. I guess I might try to flee the country as a refuge with out a passport... Ugh

there's still time. many states consider you a resident if you are receiving mail in your name at an address that is not a P.O. Box. pretend to be rooming with a friend or something. just get some mail sent to that address, bonus points if it's a utility bill (said friend could let you put the water bill in your name for a couple months maybe?), then take that to the county clerk to get registered to vote. some states even have same-day voter registration. don't give up your chance to have a say and defend your country from autocracy.

@@dietotaku I've been struggling, COVID-19 really hit my business hard unfortunately I haven't recovered from that. Also all of my friends have passed away. I have no family as they have passed on too. The really bad thing is I live in a Republican state. So doing what you are suggesting is not going to go well for me if they caught me. I'm in my 50's. Finding a new job as an older trans woman isn't the easiest thing! Yeah for the most part I pass on looks. The only dead giveaway is that I'm tall. Stay safe. We don't know what is going to happen yet. Just in case I'm hoping that Canada will take in refugees things go bad. If they don't I might just try to steal a boat and head to South America in the dead of night before Trump takes office if the worst case happens. They are not sending me to a camp alive. I'm not joking.
