I've made a similar one for years, I use chickpeas, blackbeans, tomatoes, celery leaves, spring onions, parsley - and avocado's if liked Dressing: Olive oil, limejuice and zest, honey /sugar, ground chili/flakes, ground cumin, salt and pepper.

After you chop around the bell pepper (or capsicum 🫑), place the centre section in a pot of good potting mix and you can grow your own plants from the seeds!

Broom - um … as the seeds come up above soil I guess you’ll transplant the little plants into separate pots? Do you plant the Capsicum Centre sideways in the potting soil?

@@doracotterell2863 Hi Dora. Yes, I transplant the seedlings when they are about a finger-length in height. As for planting the core, I tend to just toss the capsicum core as is, into a pot. I don’t worry too much about what angle it’s on though. As long as the seedlings sprout, I’m happy 😊 Happy growing! 🌱

The tip to lay the chick peas onto a towel is very good to get rid of the liquid. I love it. It is my favourite salad. It tastes amazing the next day.

I’ve been making this salad for several weeks now and it is SO good. I like to sprinkle toasted pepitas on top a little Dijon mustard to the dressing-otherwise these are exactly the ingredients I use, and everyone loves it!

Many people grate garlic. I prefer to chop it into very small pieces. I don't like it when my grater has a residual smell of garlic.
