Both stories mentioned in this thread are some of his classics. Not to mention the one out of the thousands that I've listened to from him which was a story about a groups of kids, I believe cousins or siblings that got to playing hide and seek and the storyteller ended up in an abandoned farm house I believe. The story went on to talk about how the child fell asleep in the closet after nobody came to look for him and woke up to it being nighttime. He hears the sound of someone walking around in the dark hallway and dragging something about, then the supposed person approached the closet. Before it opens up, an unknown person that was not originally in the closet with him breathes on or touches him and so he fled all the way out of the house without being grabbed or clearly seeing his potential attackers. This dream haunted 12-13 year old me for ages.
@nicktheninz2 жыл бұрын
The reason why Mr. Nightmare is so popular is his no-nonsense delivery. I rarely subscribe to “true horror” channels because the majority of the narrators either have a voice I don’t like or speak with some sort of affected voice, trying to be scary or edgy or literate or urban or whatever. But while Mr. Nightmare delivers each story in a very straightforward manner, he knows when to use inflection properly. In other words he doesn’t overdo it so that when he does do it it’s effective. As a side note, I think he is also Chilling Scares. If not that channel is a hell of a copy cat. Either way it’s pretty good so if you like Mr. Nightmare you might wanna check Chilling Scares out.
@dylanmooney3272 жыл бұрын
I also like his use of sound effects and music, like if someone were to make a weird noise, he would be able to make a sound like described in the story, and the editing is also really good.

I was confused and just continued on with my day lol. My family isn't the type to suddenly call me without any reason or just for a 'prank' so... yeah *shrug* I remember my mom telling me that if you suddenly hear your name being called to not respond to them because she says it's a spirit trying to take you with them. 1st sleep paralysis episode I had was a tall shadowy figure with chunks of flesh hanging off its body, long blackened claws, eyes that looked like the starry night sky and sharp ass teeth and its mouth twice as long as an ordinary humans.. it was fucked. The noises it made sounded like whispers and wheezing kind of like what story 5 was like.. whenever it tried breathing it sounded like it smoked for its whole life.. when it got close it yelled like a lunatic and that last yell echoed and I woke up sweating like crazy. Story 4 will always be the most terrifying to me. Even if it isn't true, it's still a fear inducing tale. It's short, simple, but effective in the way that it features a fear of manipulation, deception from someone pretending to be a close family member. I think anyone would be shitting their pants at the thought of someone pretending to be your own mother, especially in your own home.

For the last story, it's pretty common to have scary images during sleep paralysis. Most of the time it's shadow people but it can vary.
