I am impatient. I added a thousand calories a day to my diet for a week and on the last day I cut it back 800. I initially gained a couple pounds in the first day. But by the end of the week with a slight cut which was higher than my previous Cal I still lost that in another pound and broke through a weight plateau! I was amazed at how fast my metabolism boosted right up with the extra calories and now I can just cut one day at the end of the week by 500 to 1,000 calories and the weight falls off quicker!

I was only eating 1400 calories a day at 200 lb and I could not lose weight for a month. I boosted to 2400 calories a day and cut to 1600 on the last day of the week and add a net loss of 1 lb at the end of the week which was a new low for me. Love your videos great work awesome advice!

Thank you so much for your videos! I’m so glad I found you! I was counting and counting and found I was way below maintenance and gaining weight. So frustrating! Now I’m prioritizing protein more than I ever have. My digestive issues and bloating have also diminished greatly! I don’t mind tracking on an app. It doesn’t take much time. I have recently bumped up my calories and I haven’t gained any weight. I will try your tip to eat more gradually over the next few weeks and then try to cut. I don’t have much to lose but now that I’m in my 40’s I’m more focused on health and strength. Thanks again!

I think this is the best demonstration and explanation of how one needs to go about this whole, cutting bulking lean bulking distributing their macros through throughout the entire process. I’m relatively new to the carnivore diet, but I have a typical, counting calories traditional macro split type of background. The way you have broken this down and made it so simple is just revolutionary in my mind. You’ve put it down in such a way that I don’t have to worry so specifically about the calories to the letter rather I can just weigh my food and try keep to that same amount for any period of time look at the fluctuations and adjust accordingly, but this way that you have put it makes total sense and it’s the best Method I’ve seen yet. Currently eating chicken thighs as I find that just keeps me light at work rather than heavy and then when I come home I have a big hail yeah bowl of ground beef with eggs and I find that I can calculate those portions and keep them consistent, enabling me to see how my fluctuations are going. And the way you have described this and put it down in terms of how to tackle It is just hitting the nail on the head. Thank you

Eating 95%+ meat, butter, and eggs. 5% or less of fruit and/or nuts. Zero soda or any processed food. Now, I am stalled. Being a larger male i figured id lose more faster. Haven't been counting calories wondering if i need too.

Hi Lillie! You + Steak and Butter Gal have been so motivating for me in the past 3 weeks. I have been binge watching your interviews with older woman, and I thought to myself if these women are 40-50, had multiple kids, and have a body that looks better than mine - I have no excuse lol. I have lost 15lbs in about 2 weeks and feel amazing. Crazy part is I'm struggling to eat but I still force myself to at least get 100-110 grams of protein, goal is 130. I have a calorie budget of 1400 because I still have about 20lbs of weight to lose. If I go past that some days, I kinda freak out (from my old programing). BUT then I step on the scale and still lose weight. In the past when I was eating a "balanced diet" and went slightly go over my deficit, the next morning I would be 4-6 pounds heavier, bloated, and discouraged. Recently I don't really care about food, and its been so easy to just say no to anything that's not meat, eggs or cheese, and I'm not even 100% carnivore (about 90-95%). Even on days when the scale does not move I can see/feel visible changes, and again (Amen) but I can't believe its only been 2-3 weeks. The stress of cooking went down to about 0 because all I have been doing is throwing cuts of meat in the crockpot or airfryer and weighting out 5-6 ounces. I prefer the crock pot because the fat/water from the meat make a broth. I like to add butter to it and drink it. Even my man was like "Have you been going to the gym more??" Spoiler alert, I stopped going and decided to focus on my diet and walk when I felt like it. A couple family members have noticed I'm smaller, and whenever I eat, its only meat. I get comments like "you dont want more or rice? Red meat is so bad for you and expensive. You're going lose your muscle. Its just water weight, so don't get too excited" I went to the gym last night after taking almost 3 weeks off, and I beat my PR. I do believe that I lost some pounds of bloat and water, but when I look at myself in the mirror with no clothes on, I indeed look much smaller. My fupa has always made me insecure, I was 265lbs and got down to about 180 just reducing what I ate but I have been stuck here for about year even tho I work out A LOT. It dawned on me that It had to be my diet. Literally in 3 weeks my fupa is visibly smaller and I actually think its kinda cute now. Idk what's happening, but I HIGHLEY RECOMMEND. Bless you and your husband, and I hope 2024 brings ya'll joy and prosperity.

@@73adinutza Hello I'm not a Doctor but I do watch a lot of testimonies and doctors talking about carnivore. Because humans are technically animals we are supposed to eat fatty cuts of meat so regardless of your issues it should help you. Maybe try it for a couple weeks and see how you feel? Or simply increase your protein and lower your carbs and sugar. I really don't believe anyone should be eating processed carbs or sugar

This is an excellent video explaining the process of losing weight properly. I am currently reverse dieting as I was undereating for so long and I didn't realize how low my calories were. Once I discovered that, I took my calories up 500 the next day and have stayed at that level now for almost 3 months. I only gained about 2 pounds. I was weighing myself every day for a while because I was terrified of regaining any weight. It didn't happen. I eat only whole foods and I plan to do a cut in about a month because I want to lose my last 20 pounds and then I am done.

But then I walking around hungry depending on the content of those calories. When I count cals first and make that my focus I almost never hit my protien goal. Ever notice how you can eat a whole bag or crackers/chips/cookies but still hungry later. But now I'm feeling like I have to put on the brakes causing I'm approaching or overrunning my calorie limits.

And have not been able to figure out how to kick-start my metabolism without eating six times a day. Which is what I did on one of my previous diets which was low carb no fat and eating 5 to 6 small meals a day every meal was paired with a protein even when I had fruit. But I was losing weight that is until I went through menopause and then everything just came to a complete stop

I started my carnivore journey 14 Jan, weight has gone from 163.7 to 162 average cal 1525. If I do the .20 average should be 1220. In all honesty the 1525 seems to be too much for me at 5’1, and I feel stuffed and that’s only eating two meals morning and afternoon. This week has been hard cause the dire rear kicked in but so far a 1 tsp of peanut butter has been helping it stop during the day. Going to stop the extra butter and see if that helps plus it will drop the cal by 300. Thank you for your videos, hope to really start to see the benefits of going carnivore soon 😊

Losing weight is easy with resistance exercise all muscle groups 3 days/week, eating keto or carnivore, and sleeping a lot. Although it may not be the fastest way to lose weight at 1 lb/week, it is the least stressful way I've found to lose weight. For snacking, I drink coffee with a bit of heavy cream. If you want it sweeter you can add allulose.

Where does exercise play into the formula. If you are at maintenance calories and hovering on no weight loss despite a healthy exercise program and a carnivore/ketovore diet and 48 fasting once a week. How would you approach that? Splitting exercise expenditure and calorie deficit? Just a 15% calorie cut? Just not sure how to put fasting and exercise into the equation or not put it in at all.

Hi Lilly (if you read this.) does anyone know: When Lilly kept saying 'your body feels worried about whether it's gonna get calories'. I was thinking 'does your body think? Wouldn't it make sense if your brain thinks.... And your body becomes chemically stressed (or chemically stressed from emotional stress???) and then hormonal pathways chsnge and your body Reacts? Do we know therefore if singing, fun, relaxing and saying positive things, seeing loads of food MAKE you keep losing weight through thoughts making the body relax. I'm throwing a lot out there. I'm for one, terrible at counting and have no device right now that can use cronometer, which is an awesome app. So random and ADD thst planning meals for calories and keeping to plans is so hard for me. So I stay close to carni or ketovore to be eating till full. Still seems I can est like a pig. Stressed as hell in life. Stuck at 230lbs for weeks and weeks except when I've fallen for a few days. Does anyone know science about positivenesses effect or lack of. Thanks.

50 kcal per 14 days is really slow. if you add 100 every 7 days, a 700 kcal increase can max equal to 1/5 lb of fat (if its all stored as fat, which is highly unlikely), so doing 100 kcal to perhaps 200kcal increases every 7 days is still a slower, more sustainable way, and increasing food without adding too much volume is still really easy as you can swap to more calorie dense foods. then it wont take forever to switch between the cycles of cutting, reversing and building. personally went from 1800 to 3200 with 100-200 increases per week depending on the scale feedback. high G-flux is waaaay better IMO for overall health, mood and performance.

With my severe brain-fog from significant health-challenges, PLUS all the conflicting calorie data apps, I've given up trying to figure my food's calories out. I'm older, on a very low income of SSDI. I'm trying to figure out my calories/day for consuming: plain cooked ground beef, sardines, rarely some chicken thighs, eggs, butter, boiled broccoli, french cut green beans, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, coffee, tea, water. That's all I want. I need it very, very simple. I can eat the same simple meals everyday. I just cannot figure out my calories. I'm practically bedridden, but I make myself get up for the day and do my various little chores, etc. Ideas, anyone? I want to lose 60lbs.

I hope Lillie responds because I'm not professionally trained like she is, but from listening to scores of her videos every day and other carnivores, the big red light sticking out in your game plan is the veggies. If you could bravely eliminate those, you would likely see consistent health improvements, followed by incremental weight loss as your body heals, sometimes a bigger weight loss the first week or two due to the water weight. Be aware that when starting carnivore or keto, people get something nicknamed keto flu where you might feel sluggish for a few days and possibly have diarrhea due to increased fats, but this will resolve within the first month from what I hear. PS Lillie may say to incrementally inch the veggies out, observing how you're feeling, so your transition is smoother. She herself likes to end the day with yogurt and fruit because that works for her body.

But wouldnt increasing calories back to your resting intake not result in weight gain itself because youre not going over maintenance

Lillie your videos are very informative, but I must warn you about the red light face mask. Please look into buying an EMF reader (one that also reads EF and RF) and see how much dirty electricity electronic devices give off. This "mask" is going right up against your brain, which is so harmful. Products that are of huge concern include, cellphones, ipads, wifi, tv, clocks, ear pods (these things are deadly), etc. Get wired headphones, put devices in faraday bags, turn off wifi at night and try to eliminate the use of cellphones as much as possible. I hope this helps.

i don’t track anymore but when I did I found a correlation between eating on a deficit, fat loss and getting more hunger signals throughout the day, so instead of counting I eat whole foods mainly animal protein enough to feel hunger once in the morning and once before dinner. If I never felt hunger I was just maintaining weight and If I was stuffing my face, feeling bloated and disgusting I know I was in a surplus. Took me 6 years to figure that out 😂

Constantly having to cut and bulk sounds annoying and completely unnecessary. Just diet until you're satisfied and then eat at maintenance

Damn, Lillie. I don't know if I can stuff any more food in my face in a day than I already am. I do know that by periodically increasing my protein and lower my fat and cals (PSMF), I see greater fat reduction. It's always a moving target with me. Anyway, love content!

Your metabolism will change if your body thinks you're starving. So simply eating less can easily cause you to gain weight, especially long term. Because you cannot maintain going hungry for long. It's better to just eat healthy: meat.
