This is one of my thoughts I've had for the entire trial but I don't say it out loud because you can't really offer proof of it, but damn can you sense it. I know that often in DA, the abused partner can lose their temper or lash out and say something that provokes the abuser to escalate the situation, but that audio goes way beyond simple frustration or psychological destabilization. The way she consistently speaks to him throughout every single recording, the tone she uses and the comfort she takes in just degrading and sarcastically dismissing everything he says is not at all what you expect from a person who is afraid of their partner turning into a 'monster' and beating them. You can just get this sense that there is absolutely zero fear or even uncertainty in how she speaks. She claims on the stand he's unpredictable and can just be set off, I know you can't use it as proof but it's one of those gut feelings that something is off between her story and the real evidence.

She also testified that she was fairly certain she had a concussion and the nurse did a "concussion assessment" over the phone to rule-out a concussion. No medical professional can rule-out a concussion visually never mind over the phone, esp when, as she testifed, there has been head trauma and a loss of consciousness. Only imaging, like a CAT, can rule-out a concussion. If there was a single incident where the facts didnt add up would be one thing, but it's incident after incident that she claims to have happened that don't add up.

Watching AH testimony, I felt like if I were a member of the jury that I'd feel like she was trying to verbally bully or intimidate me.
