if these are prehistoric stone carvings, this circular path could also be related to "yaatu-karma" of prehistoric people, like Atacama desert figurines....
All Sri Lankans are in debt to both of you for the great service. Those minsters in charge of archaeology and their henchman are in cool rooms in Colombo when you are taking so much trouble.
