My builds might not be 'meta' but I never go in without "block with peril" feat on my build. You can just hold block and tank entire hordes for a surprising amount of time, or hold off a boss with ease. It sadly doesn't block projectiles as well, as the gunners burn through your peril quicker then you'd think, but I can't go without it, it fits into my playstyle so much.

It is a fantastic skill that has saved many of my runs due to its strength in blocking everything. I personally adore mind in motion as I hate being slowed down when quelling peril! I’m a firm believer in using the skills that work for you and your play style! 😁

9:45 weakspot hit on its own means both melee and ranged weakspot hits. you can build up stacks from melee weakspot hits.

Warp Unbound is actually kind of a combo with Assail, Warp SPlitting and Warp Rider. You can just use your sword and pistol during most of scryer's gaze. Building up all that juicy damage then once you hit 100 peril, you dump all your assail shards during that lingering duration. You wont overload and go down and your assail shards get all that bonus damage, cleave for extra targets and anything you didnt kill during the gaze will probably get shredded by your tiny homing missile friends. Its a ton of fun.

The reason your laspistol did more bodyshot damage than headshot on the mauler is because their head has carapace armor, while their torso only has flak armor.

Have you tested to see if Perilous Assault (2:48) actually speeds up Swap Speed? I was confused on this power and looked around and saw some posts indicating that it actually speeds up your Staff's special melee attack speed. Which to me, makes sense since the branching talents are for the staff. Recommend you test this out a bit, since "Swap Speed" is a stat in it's own regard, and "Wield Speed" seems to be isolated to this one talent.

11:09 omg I thought I was crazy, so many people have been giving mixed signals about the the bolt pistol and bolt pistol on psyker unheard of. I got love the thing in one match I got 1500 kills tier 3 difficulty (still new) with bolt and great force sword I am still unsure if bolt or great sword did the work.

Bolt pistol is a good damage source for Psyker not wanting to use peril based ranged weapons and still needing precision shooting. The bleed blessing gives a good bit of extra damage to the weapon helping you save a shot or two on certain enemies! 😁

I’m new to the game and just figured out what dump stats are and stuff. Should the dump stat on my staff be quell speed or warp resistance?

I’ve always preferred quicker quell speed to warp resistance. In the grand scheme of things, there’s not much difference between 60-80% on those stats so either will be fine (if you’re still struggling, you could roll 70% in each). Specific weapon stats aren’t something you really have to worry about until you hit level 30 (but it does help to keep an eye out on the store as you level as sometimes amazing rolls appear in there!) 😁

just getting back into the game after not playing since maybe the second month of the game being out so i have a lot to catch up on. but im going to try the shock maul build, what stats should i be shooting for for it and the bolt pistol. and i mean like the % stats, im not sure really how the new crafting works but it seems like i can roll everything except that.

With the new crafting system, weapons can be levelled up to a rank of 500. This means the stats for the weapon will add up to a total of 380 with a max of 80 in four stats and then one at 60. This can also be anything in between those percentages but should add up to a total of 380. For the maul, I use bonuses to stagger with the blessings so I prefer to drop a bit on crowd control to maximise damage when I hit a weak spot. For the bolt pistol, if you can control it I’d dump stability but as I struggle with that I sacrificed reload speed instead. I’d say once you’ve given the weapons a go and tried a few blessings you’ll be able to see what stat you want maximised and which you don’t. On inspecting the weapon, it’ll give you the finer points of each stat and sometimes the change is so minimal it doesn’t matter anyways! 😁

When does psyker become "good"...? Brain burst takes so long to cast that either what you're targeting kills you or by the time it goes off your teammates have already killed the target.

I’m not the biggest fan of brain burst compared to the other blitz, it needs a buff (area of effect would be nice). Psyker has a steep learning curve and the later builds in this video are good in between for using the powers and regular weapons. Psyker also struggles while levelling up as the later nodes (such as kinetic deflection) are powerful and change how you can play. If you want to feel powerful while blasting away with a staff, check out the warp rider build on my channel which doesn’t feature in this video. 😁

Those are definitely major drawbacks. Two unique strengths of BB are its perfect accuracy at long range and the fact you can take cover while finishing the cast

Brain burst usually is good when you hear an enemy spawn so you charge it and as soon as you see it you pop his head, similar case facing gunners and in cover: charge it and then slide to get LoS and pop his head to instantly dive back to charge another one if gunners are still around. If you want to do it on enemies that are too close you will find it's charge time frustrating. The node that lets you spam it faster on skill activation is also really good when you use bubble or vent, can sit in the dome or use the cc from it and eliminate specials with ease in that window of opportunity.

Welcome to the Darktide Community! 😁 No need to apologise, the talent is a node attached to brain rupture (upgraded brain burst) called kinetic flayer. It means your attacks against elites have a 10% chance on hit to brain rupture the target. It has a 15 second cooldown and passively activates (meaning all you have to do is attack with any weapon!). It’s useful at dealing with tougher targets when hordes are around.

How to do i unlock the blessing level 2 traits?

All you have to do is spend enough blessing points to unlock the next tier. For rank 2 blessings, you have to spend a total of 5 points (there’s a bit on the left to show your current progress). This means you have to unlock 5 different level one blessings before you can upgrade them to level 2. You can get more points by levelling up the weapon mastery level by either sacrificing weapons or just playing games with them. 😁

It’s was from the enforcers set in the shop a while back. I’m sure it’ll come back round through rotation eventually! The official names are scrutiniser’s parade set (chest armour) and scrutiniser’s patrol uniform (legs). 😁

Even with the little amount of buffs they did to brain burst it is still SERIOUSLY underpowered. people use it mainly for kinetic flayer. I understand brain burst is very conditional (like taking out a lone sniper, a hidden bomber) but it is NOT FUN. Smite and Assail has its uses and they can be Fun but not Brain burst. they should really buff it more. allow us to Burst FASTER. even with empowered psionics its terribly slow where a Staff or Gun could deal with a group of elites faster

I did it with the 2 Telekine shields to increase my uptick but it is Underwhelming compared to what a Staff and Gun can do. you can say its effective for crushers and bulwarks sure but your teammates grenades can just deal with em in a flash. You are terribly underpowered against them and you kill them way slower.
