Hi, Adriene. First of all thank you so much for everything. I've started the MOVE, but for the past 2 days I couldn't do it. What would you advice, should I do the missing days or continue from the video you upload recently?

I feel that I am getting better at actively moving myself body and mind. Through yoga I am learning how much my breath does and how it leads my movement. I still need to work on isolation of body part movements but whenever I loose track of my movement stillness and breath reminds me to focus. Thank you for today’s practice it felt so good !

I feel like I have better control over my body through this practice!! And it's getting easier to move with my breathing, even in day-to-day life off the mat. I struggle with anxiety so having a workout where I have to pay attention to what is going on and staying mindful with my body is sooooo helpful. I feel energized for the day. Thank you so much!

@@512damon It has been a change in my life. I did two and a half 30 days challenges in 2020 because I was isolated at home, but when the summer came and I started going out again I stopped doing yoga. I really liked it, but I lost my habit! I improved a lot physically and it really helped with my mental state due to isolation. But at the beginning of 2021 I really commited myself to yoga (with Adriene!) and I started putting more intention to the practices, I repeated mantras (I am strong, I am worthy...), I got more curious about my own body and mind. I started paying more attention into how I do things and how I feel. Instead of only paying attention to getting stronger and more flexible, like in 2020, I started focusing on being happy and going to where I can. When you finish this journey, I really recommend looking at the monthly calendars that Adriene provides and choosing to follow them, do any other practice, or practice by yourself or with friends. But calendars really help to keep your commitment. Now yoga is a part of my daily routine, even though I had lots of changes this year. It's one of the few things that feel constant. And if I haven't had time in a day to do yoga, before sleeping I spend some minutes in my mat (or my bed), doing a calm practice (Wind Down Yoga is my favourite when it's late!). When I'm sad or struggling with anything, it's hard to show up, but hearing Adriene's voice really helps me to be better. And sometimes I like to do yoga by myself, with all the tools I have learned during this time. I've also practiced in the mountains and at the beach, it's funny!

@@512damon Not the person you replied to, but I just finished a year's worth of daily practice, and wanted to offer my perspective. :) I started doing YWA in March 2020, just as we were going into lockdown (I had also just been sexually assaulted - sorry if that's triggering to anyone, I just think it provides important context). I did the practice off and on until the Breath 30 day challenge last January, which is when I started my daily practice. The biggest changes I noticed: 1. YWA started off like a life raft for me (something to make me feel a little okay during one of the most stressful periods of my life), and then evolved into a source of tranquility. It's like my adult version of Mr. Rogers/Mr. Dressup. :) 2. I became a lot stronger and more flexible, but also a lot more okay with letting go of the idea of "perfect" (perfect now means what's most suitable for my body that day, so maybe I leave my knee on the ground in a lunge, bend my knees in a flexibility pose, use a support block, etc.) 3. All the kind things and thoughts Adriene encourages us to direct at ourselves (Repeating "I am love", "I am worthy", "I am strong" etc.), and taking time out of my day to take care of my body, has made an impact. It was really hard to imagine I could believe the things I was repeating to myself in the beginning, now I'm beginning to grasp them (also, at the end of one video in Shavasana, Adriene said to feel the nutrients of your practice flow through your body - one commenter said they picture their body as a flower, and their yoga practice as the sunshine and water and soil. I think that's a good way to describe it). 4. I'm noticing I'm a lot more easygoing now, just in my life. I was walking to my car the other day and all the things I was carrying fell out of my hands - 2 years ago, that would have been frustrating and embarrassing. This time, I thought "I'm so happy this didn't happen on a day I was in a rush, what a relief!", it was a happy moment. I also managed to trip and faceplant onto my mattress recently (lol) while putting on my fitted sheet, again, 2 years ago that would have been annoying, but this time I burst out laughing and said "Hey, free comedy, thanks universe for that gift". Sorry for the long post, I guess what I'm trying to say is that YWA definitely had an impact on my physical body (which I'm very appreciative for, it's really nice to go up stairs without feeling winded, to feel strong enough to support myself and carry things, etc.), but it's made it possible for me to interpret my reality in a much more relaxed, peaceful way, and to enjoy spending time with myself. My yoga practice was also accompanied by therapy, which was really important and helpful for me (I personally think therapy should be part of universal healthcare and accessible to everyone), but it's been an integral aspect to meeting my current self. I'm sure others will have had different challenges and results, but I also think that's the beauty of it, that maybe yoga helps each one of us where we need it.

Thank you for this 30 day Yoga Journey, Adriene. What a gift. It's making such a huge difference to my days. It's become as essential as breathing, eating, and sleeping. I always felt that I had to do much more exercise to feel the benefits, but I'm amazed at how strong, flexible and calm I feel with 25 mins a day. Just shows that the old adage, a little and often, is true. Reading all these comments is making me tearful as it is so lovely seeing how good people feel and how they want that for others. It gives hope for humanity. Bodies are amazing! Love to you all - it's really motivating knowing that there are others rolling out their mats each day with me ! Thank you again. 💜

I began this journey, not knowing that on january 7th my world would fall apart. One of my best friends commited suicide and I am devastaded, lost, grieving. Since then I couldnt make each day, some days I just lie on my mat listening to Adrienne. But it is such a comfort to be here. It feels like something I can hold on to when all falls apart. Im so grateful, thank you so much Adrienne♥️

The relationship between brain and body. I wanted to hop a fence today, I felt I could but my mind doubted. I feel if I knew my body more, if my brain and body relationship was stronger I could have done it, because I am in shape and strong enough physically...its just that neural connection that needs strengthening. I'm going to try again at the end of our MOVE journey. Thank you Adriene for the creative moves, and reminding us to breathe...and tuck the pelvis, the two things I forget. I've been sick in bed the last 2.5 days...Today the energy started coming back and I was able to get on the mat and do some catch up...As much as I wish my energy was full and I could stretch deep into these practices, I had to be nice and gentle and were they ever perfect. Re introducing movement to the body, working on the breath...Thanks Adriene for making each and every practice so flexible. Wherever I am I can give and receive from these practices as long as I'm listening to my body...Learning so much!! 🙏🏻

Thank you for these videos, every year for the past 5 years I have tried to follow through with the challenge, and this year, although it's April, I have made it consistently to day 11. I am really feeling the benefits of daily practice and am grateful for the forced time off of running that has made me realize how tight my body as become and how good this is for body, mind, spirit. Your soothing music triggers peace in my body because that has become what these sessions are. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness you bring to each session. Thank you.

Hi from Sydney Australia. I prefer my practice mornings so I’m one now two days behind (full day of w kids n grandkids sleepover). But I feel just as connected. And getting stronger again after the holiday break. Good to feel the body change and muscles remember.

@@suz3per Hi Sue, Thank you for reaching out. I do prefer my practice too during the mornings but it’s school holidays and I changed my routine to night just to see the difference. It helps with sleep too. And I also do mornings too but another You-tube clip from Adrienes collection. I love that each lesson is 20-30mins and it’s over in no time as I am really enjoying Home Yoga, I only discovered this Chanel in early December 2021 for the first time. 14 years later. Hope you can fit it in, maybe the grandchildren can join in too. 😊💜

This is my fourth 30 day journey with Adriene, I am shocked at how well I can do poses now that use to give me some trouble and would make my body feel a lot different. I started with Adriene in 2017 after my surgery on my abdominal for recovery and haven’t looked back since. My strength has increased right along with my confidence! Thanks Adriene!

I am coming back to these priceless practices and while doing this one today, one idea keeps popping in my head : this treasure should be translated to as many languages as possible. As I am sending the link to my mom who doesn't speak English , the idea becomes more evident. We need to make this accessible to more and more people. Movement that brings awareness to the body, the power of the breath. Adriene, you have made so much difference in our lives and we are all part on the community you built through your commitment and hard work. I want you to know that i am here if you need me.

lately I've been trying to think my way to mental peace and wellbeing, and while I've been blessed to have learned to reframe certain things in that way, I'm also learning that so much peace can be gained almost effortlessly (mentally speaking) from just... intentional movement. being present with my body and breath. I don't have all the answers, and that's okay. I just need to check in with my breath and body when I can. namaste. ❤️🙏

Today I had a rough day at work, and by the time I got back home, I was kinda snappy with my loved ones and i felt super bad about it. I did my school work and I managed my whole work day, but after all the emotional regulation and having to put up with people constantly snapping at me, I was at a breaking point. It was really hard for me to get on the mat today. But now, I am happy I did. Connecting mind, body, and spirit. I knew as soon as you made the comment about maybe having a hard time getting on the mat that this was gonna be a great practice. And it was! Thank you so, so much for sharing! You've changed my life for the better the past couple of years I've followed you! Sending lots of love! Namaste 🙏

the "I am worthy" mantra hit hard today. i work in education and lately i have felt like my health and my efforts are not valued, and i know many of my fellow educators feel the same way. but we are worthy, of fair treatment and care and respect. it has been difficult for me to show up for myself these past weeks due to stress, burnout, and exhaustion, but this was a little reminder that i need to take care of myself and we need to take care of one another. love to all
