the flames are so realistic- I have never seen anyone do that before- just great! The entire fireplace is a 2-person lovely item

Hot glue is amazing for all sorts of projects. I made waterfalls for my grandsons train set like that. Your flames are realistic & thank you 'Sparky'.

And... as my glue gun just stopped working I found other alternative ways of melting the glue stick. So that was a learning curve. It does make good water. Good stuff.

Thanks so much! I was very pleased with the fires. Now to get the chandelier to look realistic as well. Heggie is coming along fine.

Hello Jill, the fires are looking great, poor Henri's probably got a concussion from the fireplace dropping on him 😅, he needs a comfy chair to sit on. The wall paint is very nice, it will make it look cosy. The snow we had last night is slowly melting hopefully it will all be gone tomorrow if it doesn't freeze overnight. Have a lovely rest of the week. Best Wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊

Hi Diane, it sounds like you are getting very wintery weather up there. And more to come. Keep yourself warm and cosy. Now I can get onto the furniture for the kitchen and working out how to make hanging dead pheasants!!

What a good collaboration between builder and sparky, now the fire looks so realistic the cook will be contemplating a Tudor feast. Love the colour you painted the inside of the new wall.

I love your fires! They look wonderful! The hot glue and the glass paint looked absolutely splendid, and your fires have the exact right amount of flickering. Times I see fires with zero flicker and sometimes I see them with so much you think you could get a seizure from the flashing lights. Will Roger share any of his secrets with us?

For Sure Jen. I'll get him on the case in morning for you :)

Great collaboration between builder and sparky has resulted in such a realistic fire that the cook is already contemplating a Tudor feast to celebrate👏. Love the colour of the inside wall. Is it a traditional heritage colour?

Not sure Coby. I just use the palette option in my paint prgramme

Hi Jill, The Tudor house is coming along GREAT! What bulbs did Roger use to make the fire flicker so realistically? The ones i usually see have an odd flash to them but yours are so much more realistic looking. Loving watching the progress! Sally in Northern California 😁

I will get Roger to answer this. He got them online.

Roger here! I got them on AliExpress Sally. I'll post a link in tomorrows diary entry. A few folks have asked about them. I think they are great!
