This video was a huge reality check for me and my poor cardiovascular fitness level after spending so much time in front of my computer programming. The week of strength was challenging but good, but this was something else. I almost gave up at the 35% point and I'm glad I didn't because I had a sudden second wave of energy around the 60% point. I'm 62, and I've been biking, walking, and doing yoga for years. I know I need to lift weights for bone density and strength. I discovered Caroline Girvan. What a gift! Your videos slay me! I've gotten to day 28 on Epic but injured my back doing Romanian deadlifts. I took a break to heal, and now I'm back to the Beginner series. This time, instead of rushing headlong into the killer challenge that is Epic, I'm doing the Beginner series 5 x a week for 4 weeks until I feel really ready to try Epic again. So far, I've finished two weeks of completing all five workouts. plus more cardio each day. I'm already able to lift more and my form is better. Caroline, you are the best out there! And so kind, encouraging, and GENEROUS. Thank you for all you do.

The set timer, the 3 seconds-to-go warning, the quick example video of the next workout and the completion percentage are so helpful. You offer a thorough exercise program that does not involve the extra work of counting sets, looking for music, trying to configure workouts that are body-balanced, etc. You remove all the excuses, all the things that make daily fitness a headache. Rather than being competitive, you encourage in a way that makes me compete with my yesterday. Thank you for all your investment in these series. Your professionalism makes my everyday more doable.

I actually got a little teary when I finished this today. I’m 4 months post partum after a third pregnancy and rebuilding strength, losing weight and recovering body composition is such a long process. Today was one of the first days that I felt really strong and can’t wait to start the regular program tomorrow.

@@millssJ stronger than I was post partum. I stay consistent with a minimum of 5 workouts per week and focus on a nutritious diet through the week and eat less strictly on weekends. I challenge myself with different training styles and fitness competitions throughout the year to continue to prove to myself that my body is capable of more than I think it is

You have inspired me! I now understand I can do more than I ever thought I could. I also finally understand pain does not mean stop, hence "no pain, no gain". I was always worried I wasn't fit enough to exercise, that I was too weak to workout and would wind up in the hospital with too much exertion. That doesn't even make sense, hahaha. You have to start somewhere! I am so grateful I found you. I am doing this beginner series for the 3rd time and may do it 1 more time before I am ready, but I feel myself getting stronger, and more balanced. I never regret doing any of your workouts when its over! Love to you!

I’m horribly out of shape but wanted to get to 50% before taking a moment to breathe, but unfortunately my lungs said hey let’s have a small asthma attack at 45% 🤦🏻♀️ (I have exercise induced asthma, so it’s not actually bad I just have to stop for a while until my lungs chill out). But, I told my ego to get over it, took my break, and did the last 55% with one more break in there. It was rough but honestly in the shape I’m in I’m proud I didn’t give up. I’ll have to modify things, but I’m happy to start Epic 1! Thank you, Caroline!!

I am almost in tears😢! Not from the workout but because I was able to do something I didn't think possible for a while: a burpee!! I began Caroline Girvan's workouts with the Iron Series, then Epic Beginners, and now to Epic 1. I can say that I my strength, agility, and abilities are only getting better as I complete each series. This is becoming one of the best workout routines I've done since college.

Day 5 complete. I can’t believe I just completed a workout out challenge for the first time in forever! I definitely feel much more stronger than I did at the start. I will say I am going to be doing this again before heading on to epic. Also I think I may have low blood pressure because I could not do a single burpee without getting dizzy or lightheaded so it was hard to give my all today but I did it and I’m proud of myself.

Day 5 done! I can start to see physical changes and my cravings are gone! I feel more in control and focused. Trying to decide whether to repeat Beginner Epic or try Fuel or Iron. suggestions? I had never done Caroline's "beginner- Epic" HIIT before, only the "classic" HIIT. I finally did it at 3.5 months post partum (and 3 weeks after I fully started working out again), and I can tell you that the Burpees were the hardest part. I haven't done one in 10 months, I thought I was going to give up but I made it to the end and I'm proud of myself. Thanks for the awesome Hiit Workout @caroline!

So glad I found Caroline through Linda Sun's workout review video; I just finished her Beginner EPIC series and have grown to really like her style :) I love how it's a mix of know and not knowing what workout comes next, the progress bar, the post work out stretches, and the subtle burn! Her structure is amazing; she makes the workout hard enough that you'll feel it but it's like a gradual build up so you won't know how hard she worked you until you're down or the next day when you're sore haha Thank you for the great workouts Caroline!

I have been avoiding the HITT sessions because of the intensity. I have been doing the 1 Hr regular sessions. Finally today I decided to jump in and give it a try. I pushed this workout off for two days because I’ve tried one of Caroline’s HIIT workouts before and couldn’t get past 5 minutes without feeling like I was dying. Anyways, I finally did this one today and can proudly say that I did this entire workout, no breaks, and with as many burpees as I could. Week 2 done Felt a lot stronger this week. I was able to do almost all sets completely and even went up in weight for my arms. Recovered better as well Day 5 is still killer with the burpes but I’m proud of what I accomplished in a week

I did the correct Day 5 EPIC workout I was aiming for this time (yesterday I accidentally selected the Day 5 EPIC HIIT workout instead of Beginner and did the whole thing before realizing my mistake - yikes). Loved this workout and all the epic beginner program. Loved the no repeat and no jumping hiit in between the burpee’s. I done the best I could with them but ended up doing high knees or sprints on the spot. Would recommend this workout for any beginner minus the burpee’s but at least over time if you repeat this workout you will definitely be able to monitor progress. Right now to start the Epic 1 program.

words cannot describe how tired AND proud and happy I felt after completing this day and this challenge. looking forward to trying EPIC 1! even though I may have to repeat beginner a a couple times, to be sure I'm ready. thank you for helping me with my journey to strength and happiness!

WOOO WEEK 1 DONE! This was one of my favorite cardio workouts ever. Great balance of exercise and rest. Very hard towards the end to do more burpees, but I did it! Given how hard this was as a program overall, I think I'm going to do 2 more rounds and then progress to EPIC I. I'm only 4 mo. PP and don't want to overdo it too quickly. We'll see!

After an illness, I went from being fit and lean to weak and flabby in a matter of months. Been taking it steady, doing beginners epic for four weeks. With help from protein supplements, I'm already noticing a change in my body shape and am feeling so much stronger. I like what I see! Thanks Caroline, these workouts have been a godsend. I think now I might be ready to move onto something harder:)

I know I'm 2 years late, but this was my first fitness program I have actually completed and I have been trying for years!! Thank you even though I wanted to give every time I did the workout. Thank you! Especially this video I wanted to give up at 18% but somehow got more strength and energy. Thank you for helping me find my passion to exercise(;

Completed this for the third time earlier today. Even though it's only "beginner" HIIT, it is SERIOUSLY tough if you push yourself as hard as you can! The second time I did this I averaged 180 bpm with a peak of 194 (my max is 205). After three weeks of Beginner EPIC, I'm feeling brave enough to start the main EPIC program from tomorrow. Wish me luck!

You have to build up your endurance. I have to pause and take a longer rest my first week thru this. I'm going to try and it that less in week 2.

Finished my first week of these beginner workouts and really enjoying it. Going to be a beginner for at least a couple more weeks though!! 😂🥵 Update: Just finished the beginner week for the second time and was surprised how much I improved! Going to give Epic I a go next week 🤞🏻😅

this is the first ever hiit in my life, and i’ve never even clicked on the videos with exercises that were longer than 15 min before I started this epic beginner program. I’m so glad I found it and I’m proud of myself for pushing through! it was actually less horrible than I’ve expected. today I was gonna give up around the 40% mark but I just took a minute of break instead of 30 sec that time, drank my water, told myself I won’t let my habits win over my determination and jumped back in! and let me tell you I hate bicycles but god was I grateful that we are going to LIE DOWN for that one xD thanks a lot, Caroline! I will definitely repeat the whole beginner cycle at least once more before going to the more advanced series of yours. everybody, don’t give up! you’d be the proudest and the happiest when you win the fight against yourself!!! ❤️
