Was in the mood for some fun so we loaded up the F-22 raptor mod and put it head to head with the Su-57 Pak Fa and some good fun was had, lot of action in this dogfight hope you guys like it, and thank you to the guys who made the mods. Thank you all for the on going support with the channel.

Try VSN F22 against SU57 it has more of a F22-ish FM one could say and feels less like F15. It`s much more maneuverable and picks up speed faster and stalls much less more stable . Allso i noticed in bvr it`s a lot more difficult to lock each other in BVR with hesethese jets. Would be cool to have a little experimental server dedicated to 5th gen fighters and AI planes flyable.

Just to clear things up, this was a project I made a while back when I was trying to learn how to create a module for DCS. It uses the F-15 FM and systems so it is NOT an F-22 its an F-15 in F-22 clothes. It was intended to be used for virtual airshows and just general goofing around. I never intended to make a full fidelity F-22 that's acculturate down to the last rivet, in fact I picked the F-22 because it is so classified and it gave me more creative freedom to experiment and learn how to make everything work. If you decide to try the mod it does require FC3 to be installed to work. Bay Doors open on Left Alt+G, MFD pages change on Left Shift+D, the usual lights and other things work as they should, and you can A-A Refuel the plane as well. Huge thanks to GS for doing a mod showcase video and having fun with DCS and for all his hard work!!! ~Grinnelli

You want to charge at him as fast as you can (SUPERCRUISE DUDE!) pull hard on the stick, shoot straight up in the air and force him to chase you then crap out at the top first. It wasn’t the vertical maneuver that got him dead. F-22 climbs like a beast, GS bled all that energy advantage. Watch the F-22’s airspeed plumment. Thats what got him killed, bled too much energy in the vertical. And turned directly into the Su-57’s path. How did he (f-22) go from .75mach to .4 mach?

Go into vertical was correct decision cause he had greater speed than SU, but he should continue that climb till SU fall off. Another great mod vid, Side! One of my fantasy mods I'd love to see is the VF-1 "Valkyrie" Jolly Rogers fighter from the Japanese animated Macross series. Or even better, the FFR-31MR D "Super Sylph" aircraft from another anime short series called Yukikaze. If you've never seen or have no interest in anime, I'd still recommend a look both Macross (especially Macross Plus) and Yukikaze mimi series (btw, the novels its based on are an excellent read).

@Sean Baca It is a Russian spy game, some developers got criminal charges because they used original F16 documentation to make the module. It as real as it gets. If the Russians did not develop the game we could never get anything similar. For the same reason we will not get a full modern Russian module.

Both doesn't have thrust vectoring in this mod which (as far as i know) put off the main advantage of the SU 57. If there is the trust vectoring is in this mod then you really don't want to go into a dogfight with the SU 57. You need a F 22 or a very good manouvering 4th gen fighter such as a flanker or a mirage(because of it's ability to bleed it's air speed). The SU 57 has better performance for dogfights while in long range it's the F 22 that has better performance because he is a little bit steathier at least radar wise. And at medium ranges it's equal except that su 57 as 2 more missiles than f 22.

Su-57 unit cost is 42 Million$ while F-22 is 150 Million$... It is almost 4 times more costly... For the same price, Russians can get 4 more planes... It would only 2 planes at worst to kill 1... Try to do sim with 4 SU57 and 1 F22 (same price range)... See whether F22 survives... US economy is going down and therefore, there won't be huge budget to purchase more planes in the future.... PS: F22 is from 1996 and Su57 is 2009.... 13 years younger and more advanced...

Without much of the hype surrounding both aircraft, or at least what is publicly known and confirmed about them, I believe SU-57 is the better fighter in real life. But it's very subjective, I agree.

GS just did basic maneuvers like simply turning left or right, up and down etc, consistently pointing the Raptor's nose towards the enemy plane. The Su 57 was like doing more complex maneuvers like unpredictably barrel rolling from all sorts of directions. It's like watching a match between a focused rookie vs a much more overconfident veteran where the rookie wins.

I think the biggest gripe I have with the SU-57 is the engines. the f22 and f35 both try to bring the engine as much inside the frame to lower is radar and allow the stealth panels to cover as much as possible, but it looks like the russians didnt even bother trying to add any streamlining or stealth to those massive things.

For equipment capable of super cruise and a top speed speculated to being possibly over Mach 2 one would imagine it wouldn't have a problem staying over mach 1 in a dog fight. We're seeing speeds here closer to Mach .7

Thrust brevity is built in to the F-22's flight computer. It is always working. Every time you turn, thrust thrust is working with you.

Crazy flying. If that Su-57 can really pull those kind of moves it's pretty scary. Keep up the good work, and keep up with the tac view. I love the AARs in tac view. Makes it really easy to see how the dogfight plays out.
