If you want the characters to threaten you and call you names, ALL of them did that in the GameCube version. The dialogue in that game was so fun. While there is repetition of dialogue, it wasn't nearly as bad as New Leaf.

Quetzal was inspired by Quetzalcoatl, the most famous and popular Aztecan god, despite all stories of him having been wiped from history - he was so important to the Aztecs, that they literally deemed it unnecessary to immortalize him in written form because "why would we ever stop talking about him". Almost all we know is that he was symbolized as a feathered snake. The eagle comes into play with a legend where the Aztecs were told by their gods to "look for an eagle with a snake in its mouth, standing on a cactus growing from a rock" and to build their new capital there. Hence, Quetzal is an eagle villager representing the crest found on the Mexican flag. Definitely bring him back for sure.

Splatoon characters and items should have came back to AC when Splatoon 3 came out As for Legend of Zelda they should have brought those cross over villagers right away because every other AC game has had at least one Zelda item Oh and the island themed villagers (all the villagers in the Hawaiian shirts/dresses) were villagers you could see on Kapp'n Island in the Game Cube version. You had to have a Gameboy Advanced and only one of those villagers would be there. They have used villagers from that set in laters games: Ankha, Annalise, Bliss/Caroline, Boomer, Bud, Dobie, Drift, Faith (recently), June, Maelle, O'Hare, Plucky and Rowan And for e+: Charlise, Curlos, Frank, Harry, Julia, Kidd, Marina, Norma, Roswell (recently), Raddle and Violet

Well here I go again! The villagers wearing Hawaiian shirts are island villagers and you got a random one on your island in the game cube Hambo is based of an oendan, they’re kinda like cheerleaders? Jubei might be a ninja or samurai reference? Marcy might be a Japanese reference Shinabiru was designed and based off by and off of a manga author Shoujichi like Croque is based of a dharma doll and honestly needs to be brought back From his pose Twirp is probably a Japanese delinquent I could be wrong but I think Flash is Brazilian (he reminds me of Jose from the three caballeros) Epona looks worse here then in game but is based of her n64 design Medli is a Ruto in wind waker look more human then in other games

New Horizons is an amazing game don't get me wrong... But I kinda miss Gamecube Animal Crossing's dialogue in characters and the personalities that shine through with their personality types! The only different between a gentle natured villager like Skye (Wolf) and a Jock Villager like Hamlet is just one type of conversation relating to their personalities and it's irritating. I absolutely NEED drama and the NEED for villagers talking behind other's backs and being insulted by a purple emo pig like Sue-E! It's what made me WANT to reach developing milestones when I was literally 5. I was about to be 6 years old and didn't ever know how to really read. It took my parents being fed up of reading every line of text to get me to learn to read just so I can see what my animal friends were telling me. Animal Crossing has been a childhood favorite, playing for hours and hours when I was alone because my parents were mainly at work. Got me through so much and I'd be so happy to see villagers get that lost spark. I played New Horizons a LOT during the first 6ish months, cycling it between Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, Pokemon Sword, and whatever games I had at the time. But after getting to a point... the game lost it's spark. The only thing this game has in it for me right now is the fact Im building an all Wolf Island. (Currently sporting Chief, Skye, Audie, and Whitney right now. Looking for Fang, Freya, Lobo, Wolfgang, Dobie, Kyle, or Vivian. Just basically any of them that's available right now. Though REALLY seeking out Fang, Lobo, Wolfgang, Kyle, and Dobie. )

In the Gamecube Animal Crossing game if you had an E-Reader and the needed cards (or an Action Replay) you could go to an island that would have special villagers. Some of them did come back as regular villagers, like Ankha. Who used to be one of my favorite villagers before the internet ruined her for me. At least Camel by Camel is a fucking bop.

I've played all splatoons and never fully dived into the story mode to know the sisters, but I would like to see some octopus villagers who rep the inklings (perhaps Marina makes the most sense, as she's an octoling). Also none of the Zelda ones should have left imho. They're so iconic and clever, and wouldn't it have been lovely if they were added to nh along with some the items, same way the mario stuff is in it. Such a missed opportunity. Could have even forced ppl to use their amiibo to get them like the sanario one

Analog is actually a more interesting character than he appears at a glance. His e-reader bio suggests that he's secretly some sort of robot or animatronic - "When you watch him for a long time, he moves strangely jerkily, you can hear suspicious noises, and he freezes up at important moments. ...Muscle aches? Yes, yes, it's always the case isn't it." - hence the name Analog. I just love the idea of him FNAF-ing around town at night.

Yes. New Horizons villagers are too nice to even have opinions most of the time. This is especially a problem for the snooty villager. Dialogue wise I think that uchi villagers are the best, they're the most down to Earth. They have a temper sometimes but never get mad at you because you're their favorite!

I feel the red bars below the eyes of that cut Eagle Villager, is meant to be a sort of tribal facepaint thing (I'm not certain of the exact terms of that thing, so, not gonna try and claim what it's actually called), as I think he's meant to replicate the tribal look of I think is called native Americans? Not surprising he was cut, Nintendo may had feared that him existing in the game might upset someone over racial stuff, as Nintendo is far from having ever did some bad racial stuff. They stereotyped a ton of kinds of people in Punch-out's arcade release for example. A ton of the enemies you fight in the arcade release of Punch-out, are stereotypical appearances and namings, of where supposedly those boxers' origins are from. I think Nintendo cut that Eagle villager as to not upset people over racial stereotypes.

Yea..it's really giving off lgbtphobic vibes (or hating when people don't do/dress as what their gender is, like thinking all women should wear makeup and dresses instead of hoodies and stuff..and men can't wear dresses; idk the word for it exactly); so I can see why it'd make lgbt+ individuals uncomfortable. I personally dress more masculine as it's more comfortable for me, I hate when people say I need to wear skirts/dresses/jeans when I LIKE my sweatpants, baggy shirts, and hoodies.
