For years, I've used the same meatloaf recipe that's on the Onion Soup mix box and everyone in my family has loved it! But today, I used your recipe and I got rave reviews, more so than when I used my old recipe! Thank you Rachel!! What a great recipe! It's just like mine!! Well, great minds think alike. The difference is that I use 1lb pork with 1lb 80/20 ground beef. However, I have to cook it for 1 hour 45 min to make sure the pork is done. Then I mold it by hand. Your way, with 2 lbs of the different percentages of beef, would be great, especially molded by the loaf pan. Thank you, Rachel! for the recipes, and especially your inspiration!! I love your videos! Rachel, I think that I have been trying to make meatloaf for the past 5 years. I purchased a loaf pan about 3 years ago and my husband now jokes about the phantom meatloaf...still have not made it. I haven't made a meatloaf in an age but I learned to use bread soaked in milk "Panade" when I used to make meatballs with a small, sugar cube size piece of pepper jack cheese in the center. The addition of the milky bread gives the meat a very tender texture.
