another great repair .I just started doing a few dents from a cheapie online kit ha .. I had a go at my fender 3 days ago .Strangely i had no choice but to place a glue tab directly onto a dent where the paint had come off to the primer from the previous damage that caused the dent .. I thought this isnt going to end well , assuming paint or primer will pull straight off , but oh well .Couldnt get any worse so whatever .I used the slide hammer and really put it in to pull the dent and the tab pulled the dent out and amazingly no paint or primer came off. But 10 inches away where the paint looked perfect and healthy i pulled a small dent and it ripped the paint off..To my shock if anything logic seems to not be relevant in this sort of work..Great vid thanks mate for the tips. The colour the holden is painted in is called KaPow 449N ,its a really nice blue purplish pearl so my skills need honing somewhat

Excellent comment and well done for trying to save your own damage. Glue pulling is a risk. It takes many years to be confident with what’s achievable and what’s not best to try and pull. Even with that knowledge I still get caught out sometimes. End of the day I’m trying to fix damage, if I damage it then it’s still damaged. But I do speak to my customers and explain the risks of GP and I haven’t had any issues

Excellent repair, really enjoy your content. I just got back into PDR after being down due to a medical issue, I just play around with PDR which turned into an expensive hobby. Love it, I have an Audi rear door off of a 2016 and having issue in that at the end of repair, I have a small pit which is really locked, is this an Audi thing or am I just working it too fast? Would appreciate your feedback.

Hi Victor. Well done with your PDR journey. sounds like your just locking the damage up. Try and open up the pit and make it a shallow dent and then lift up carefully. This should help

Yes I don’t see why not. Hondas and single skin are quite weak so not ideal to do this dent glue only. But a sealed 1/4 yes

Now I have a question. I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado and I have like a medium sized dent in the bed fender but the issue is I can’t get any tool inside the fender I can only do it from the outside. Thanks Jeff. This is called an AC Delco mini polisher. I use it to quickly spot polish but I then use a proper polisher to finish off the repair

Now what's the cost of labor? So many places just say replacing the panel is better. These places all think we gave them a blank check or something. 😡 That it's not worth the labor. Talk about not believing in themselves to get it done right and efficiently with minimal waste.

Hi Catt Thanks for your comment. It’s easy to just say “replace a door or panel” but if you/they know what’s involved and how much it can de value the vehicle as appose to a PDR where skill is involved (how dare those PDR peeps have a skill!) The PDR process is quicker and to be fair it should be the same cost or more than a conventional repair. Agreed there’s no parts or materials to buy to add to the cost but the sheer skill to rectify a dent to as new condition is priceless I can’t give an exact price on this because I forgot but if this came through the door tomorrow it would be around 400 +vat and upwards Thanks Martin
