The core of the pineapple actually contains the highest concentration of bromelain. To extract bromelain from the core, you can dry and pulverize it. Cut the core into small pieces, dry them (either air-dry or use a dehydrator), and then process them into a fine powder using a blender or coffee grinder. The resulting bromelain powder can be used as a dietary supplement. It’s important to store the powder in a dry, airtight container to maintain enzyme activity.”

Discernment: --->. Salt is essential for our bodies, helping with muscle function, nerve signals, and hydration, but like anything, it should be consumed in moderation; even the salt in miso, which has additional health benefits from fermentation, can be harmful in excess. Similarly, rice is a staple food providing energy, vitamins, and minerals, and can be part of a healthy diet, especially whole grain varieties like brown rice; however, balance is key, and overeating it, like any food, can lead to health issues. Moderation and a balanced diet are crucial for maintaining good health.

You are right. That old food myth was blown out of the water by the carnivore diet. Tons of proof to back it. Same with the salt myth too though. Fat and salt are our friends. Many people are the healthiest they’ve ever been and completely reversed many many health issues this way. The problem was never the fat or the salt. The problem was always the foods we combined with them. Eating carbs and fats together leads to very poor health over time. Carbs and fat are both energy sources for the human body. Fat being the supreme and ideal source. You can’t consume them together because your body can’t burn both energy sources. That’s how fat became the enemy. Because no one ever taught us this. Since carbs are easier to burn, the body chooses to burn them and then store the fat when eaten together. If you only consume the fat with your protein, your body will burn the fat and you actually stay full much longer since fat doesn’t burn as quickly. Fat isn’t killing anyone as long as they are consuming minimal carbs with it. Your brain needs a high fat diet. Your body can technically survive on carbs but never thrive because the body doesn’t require carbs. It does however require fat. Especially people like women over say 40. Cut your carbs and increase your fats/protein. Don’t forget your salt because cutting out carbs will dramatically reduce your salt. Just see what happens. Life will dramatically change. Energy, weight, hormone balance etc will all straighten out. Same goes for salt. Salt was never the enemy. It’s what man created and called salt that was the problem first off. And second, it’s the way we eat the SAD. All the carbs and processed foods full of this man made version of salt created the problems around salt. Your body NEEDS salt. Stop consuming a high carb diet. Cut out processed foods. Replace the carbs with fat sources and protein. Then add in plenty of Celtic, pink Himalayan or Redmans real salt. This part has a personal learning curve though. We will all be different and you have to experiment to see what your body needs to feel your best. Carnivore dieters consume ALOT of fat and salt and are some of the healthiest people who have reversed just about every ailment you could think of. They are living their best life and would have never gotten there without high fat and salt. It’s all about the way we eat these things guys. They have the lab work to prove it. Just sayin :) To each their own though. Just check out Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Elizabeth Bright, Steak and Butter Gal -Bella, or just search carnivore here on KZbin. You’re welcome 😊

Hello Doc, I read the abstract of the study you mentioned relating to turmeric and pepper. I believe what you said is incorrect. Pepper does help in absorption, because the abstract of the study says the following: Curcumin, which comes from the turmeric plant (Curcuma longa L.), has health benefits, but it's not easily absorbed by the body. This is because it gets broken down quickly in the liver and intestines. In this study, researchers looked at how adding another substance called piperine (found in black pepper) affects how well curcumin is absorbed. In rats, when they were given 2 grams of curcumin per kilogram of body weight alone, they had only moderate levels of curcumin in their blood over 4 hours. However, when piperine was given at the same time (20 mg/kg), the levels of curcumin in the blood increased significantly for 1-2 hours. Specifically, it took longer for the curcumin to be cleared from the body, and the amount of curcumin that was actually available in the body increased by 154%. In healthy humans, when they took 2 grams of curcumin alone, the levels in their blood were either very low or undetectable. But when they took curcumin with 20 mg of piperine, their blood levels of curcumin were much higher within 15 minutes to 1 hour after taking it. In fact, the absorption increased by 2000%. A longer duration in the bloodstream enhances curcumin’s effectiveness by increasing its bioavailability and allowing its benefits to be more sustained and potentially more impactful. Overall, the study showed that piperine helps improve how much curcumin the body can use, both in rats and humans, without causing any side effects. I am happy for you to respond and explain further..
@Healthyimmunedoc3 ай бұрын
Bioavailability does not necessarily mean that it is referencing to absorption. You can increase bioavailability or blood levels if you inhibit clearance. If you read the entire free article that I placed in the video, the last paragraph of the authors conclusion is speculative on absorption as they did not prove absorption versus reduce clearance in people unless they are measuring fecal clearance, which they did not do. Instead they measured serum drug levels ie bioavailability. Fig 1 and 2 clearly show there is persistently high levels of curcumin that taper off to zero at the same time with or without piperine in rats and levels stay higher in humans too with the addition of piperine. the curve stays up longer. It also states that It is well known that piperine inhibits multiple-cytochrome enzymes to confer other drug interactions including those that degrade curcumin. Do you know of an article that specifically addresses absorption of curcumin and separating the inhibiting effects of liver enzymes?

@1babysun4 ай бұрын
It came from ancient wisdom, she doesn’t have that. She’s misrepresenting herbalists and how herbs are used. They aren’t used how she is representing them for just one constituent. Herbs work synergistically, and have multiple compounds, as well as different energy’s that affect different organs/energy flows. You don’t prescribe herbs like medication, which is how she’s representing them.

That’s because they understand dosage which is key. Herbs also have specific energies which correspond to different organs which also increase their effects such as absorption. She means well, but she’s not 💯 accurate regarding herbs, their constituents, and how they work synergistically within the body. That’s why people should really consult a professionally trained herbalist, and not pretend they are one. You don’t use herbs the same way Dr.’s prescribe medication. Doesn’t work that way.

No. 1 cause of heart disease by far is diabetes. Second cause is metabolic syndrome (prw-diabetes). Obesity is next. High LDL is almost last on the list, a tiny sliver on the pie chart. We need to encourage each other to avoid developing insulin resistance, in order to avoid heart attacks. Fat free foods are usually filled with sugars and unhealthy chemicals. Leads to diabetes that leads to heart disease. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties as you mentioned. Last night I made up my own anti-inflammatory dinner using thawed frozen wild caught salmon, Egyptian spinach I grew in my garden, ginger, turmeric, lemon pepper, a tiny bit of milk, and a tiny bit of parmesan cheese. I will make it again and make brown rice with it next time.

What about if i make a smoothie of turmeric and pineapple and add some coconut oil for fats, would it be possible to absorb the curcumin the same without heating it?

I'm staying away from soy as im on a low estrogen diet. I was recommended coconut milk, which is surprising you came down so hard against it. Im curious how you feel about oat milk. Cashew milk is not so common and for a busy person that cant crush cashews, what alternative milks and creams would you recommend. Especially for someone that likes curries.

Coconut is the best lady

I think this is laughable. People eat fast crap but this woman is badmouthing a guy that is using fresh ingredients to make a healthy meal that for anyone who exercises regularly and wants to stay healthy is a great choice. Coconut has MCTs that help in weight loss because it reduces the build up of fat, helps you feel full longer, increases insulin sensitivity, and helps you exercise longer. Everything non-processed in moderation. 😊

She didn’t badmouth him at all, she just talked about the ingredients and scientifically how they work inside the body. Coconut does have a lot of MCT’s, but it’s also saturated fat. If you’ve ever seen a blood draw with someone who has an issue with saturated fat it looks like white chunks floating around in the blood, no bad mouthing happened just science and you can just agreed to disagree 🤷🏽♀️ I still use coconut milk just smaller amounts. she gave a lot of good information, and she also gave some compliments as well and agreed with the majority of the ingredients.
