I have been monitoring my bp regularly for the past few weeks. The diastolic readings are nearly always at 80 or below. But systolic readings ranges between 137-145 when checked with the digital machine at home. But on checking with the health care centre with their pumping type machine systolic level goes above 150 but diastolic is at 80. I do not have diabetes nor any heart problem. Doctor has counselled me to take the tablet twice in the day ,yet the systolic level has not come down. Your opinion is solicited. I am a senior citizen aged 78years.

വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പ് ഡോക്ടർമാർ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത് നിങ്ങളുടെ വയസ്സു + 100 എന്നതാണ് നോർമൽ ബി പി എന്നാണ്. പിന്നീട് മരുന്ന് കമ്പനികൾ അതു കുറച്ചു 140/90 എന്നാക്കിമാറ്റി പിന്നെയും അതു കുറച്ചു 120/80 എന്നാക്കിമാറ്റി ഇപ്പോൾ പറയുന്നതു 110/70 ആയാൽ നന്നായിരിക്കു൦ എന്നാണ്. നമ്മുടെ ബി പി യു൦ ഷുഗറു൦ കൊളസ്ട്രോൾ എല്ലാം എത്ര ആയിരിക്കണമെന്ന് മരുന്ന് കമ്പനികൾ തീരുമാനിക്കു൦. കഷ്ടം.
