For seeds: I grind equal amounts of flax, chia, and pumpkin seeds in a spice grinder until they’re very finely ground. Place them in a dark colored container to protect from light, and store in the freezer. I sprinkle a teaspoon on just about everything.

0:25: There are five foods that can help balance hormones. 1:02: Estrogen and progesterone have different food preferences. 1:40: Estrogen benefits from a keto biotic diet, while progesterone benefits from hormone feasting foods. 4:49: Bitter foods support liver and gut health, aiding in the breakdown of hormones. 5:10: During ovulation, it is beneficial to consume bitter foods to support hormone balance. 6:22: Seeds can help with different hormones and their consumption may be controversial. 9:18: Eating root vegetables like sweet potatoes and squashes can increase progesterone levels. 10:32: Including meat, specifically grass-fed steak, in the diet provides essential amino acids for hormone production. Squash is NOT a root vegetable. Root "vegetables" are just that, they are roots ie. carrots, radishes, onions, garlic, parsnips, sweet potatoes and yams are root vegetables. Squash comes from a flower on a plant above ground, it is a fruit, not a root.

Japanese, purple or regular sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, or brussel sprouts, carrots or zucchini, drizzled in a generous amount of EVOO, tossed with some coriander, cumin, fresh garlic, and salt, spread on baking sheet and cook at 425 F for 45 mins. For the meatballs: Grass fed ground beef, pinch of each of the following spices: cumin, coriander, garlic, sage, paprika, mustard, onion + garlic granules, turmeric, ginger, chipotle, then a few generous pinches salt, roll into small balls, about 1 oz each, put in cast iron pan and put in oven for last 10 mins while veggies are still roasting. Take everything out, and serve with labneh, avocado, and of course a drizzle of the fat that collected at the bottom of the pan with the meatballs, sprinkle some salt, pepper and fresh herbs and ENJOY!! If you have a dehydrator, it's so easy to make flaxseed crackers! You can use ground seeds or whole seeds. I use my Pyrex glass measuring cup to pour in the whole or ground seeds until they reach the 1 cup mark. Then I add filtered water until the water and seeds reach the 2 cup mark. Use a fork to tap down the floating seeds until they are all submerged. Then cover and leave this to sit for 2 hours or so. You will find that the seeds have absorbed all of the water and you have a mucilaginous mixture, meaning the seeds now form a batter-like substance that can be spread like icing onto a silicone sheet. Don't forget to add seasonings to taste--whatever you like! You can make them sweet or savory. I like Everything But the Bagel Seasoning. Mix a good amount in, tasting as you go. Next, spread using a spatula to spread onto a silicone baking sheet and then put in your dehydrator. Since I like for my crackers to be considered raw, I dehydrate for 24 hours at 105 degrees, flipping them over at around 12 hours into the time. I suppose if you don't mind if they're "cooked", you can experiment with higher temperatures to yield faster times. That's it! Once they're done, break them into smaller pieces and enjoy with your avocado, cheese, nut butter, hummus, or whatever!

I've been overweight since childhood and on every kind of diet you can think of since age 5.. leading up to gastric bypass surgery at the age of 20 which helped me reduce my weight from 135 to 75kg.. 15 years later at 35 years old I'm back at 102kg. I started gaining weight more rapidly since I started seeing nutritionists again, since they were telling me I was eating too little. Instead I was told to eat more and at the same time got hunger suppressing hormones.. medicals seem to have no clue about what to actually do about obesety that's going to be sustainable.. you've been the first one to ACTUALLY give me some real hope on the issue on getting healthy in ages! ❤

I just ordered your fast like a girl hoping it helps me with post menopausal as the only symptoms I have is insomnia. I had been following your videos for the last two and a half 3 weeks for intermittent fasting. I have finally lost these stubborn 4 lb that I couldn't lose for the last 10 months. I work out 3 to 5 days a week and still couldn't lose the weight with eating what I thought was healthy lol. You are an angel I truly appreciate Your videos you're trying to save the world one bite at a time I love it!!

So glad you have grass fed steak on your list.Yes, helps all three hormones. I was once vegetarian for a year and became severely anemic, and even after I went back to a healthy diet including chicken and very little red meat, I continued to be anemic, and ended up with many more issues including thyroid, arthritis, cancer, etc. I am now 77 and have had two knee replacements, breast cancer, and 3 months ago a hip replacement. I have been low-carb keto for over a year, gluten free for 14 years, and recently a month ago went carnivore. I know it sounds crazy! I thought it sounded insane and immoral, until I started reading about all of the things people had healed from eating an all animal food diet. I have already seen improvements! And just finished being on your 72 hour fast and now gently coming off of the fast. I had zero problems on the water fast. It was the first one over 24 hours, so I had no idea how I would do. I just ate a grass fed steak:) Thank you!

I had severe anemia (blood count 17!!) Before becoming a whole food plant base (now since 2001), I know plenty of people on omnivore diets with anemia as well. If you eat whole foods and a good range of legumes you can keep anemia at bay. My blood count is higher than normal at 44, usually it's average 30.

This is really amazing .... Than you Dr Mindy. Funny thing I just started fasting like a girl and was craving flax and pumpkin seeds! I began 4/2024... I lost 19 pounds (including 3 lbs during my blood week on a 3 day fast). I did fluctuate 4 to 6 lbs depending on my activity level and food consumption. I find I have more energy, my clothes fit better, people are giving me compliments again, and I have slept so much better throughout the night. Looking forward to making this a lifestyle change and the continued progress this month with my weight loss as I add in some activities and workouts this week.

She sought the help of her OB-Gyn who told her that it was all in her head when she complained of heavy cycles and silver dollar sized clots. Fortunately we had a neighbor who was a naturopath and she told her to take catnip, blue and black cohosh and her symptoms resolved. Amazing information, I’m menopausal and the night sweats and lack of sleep is driving me insane. Not to mention the 20 pounds of weight I gained, which is extremely frustrating. Granted I haven’t helped the situation much, as I retired two years ago and have been living a vacation lifestyle, eating and drinking whatever I wanted. Prior to retirement (Pre-Menopausal) I lived a keto lifestyle and kept my weight and health in check. For the last year I have been going through menopause with hot flashes, mood swings and night sweats. About six months ago everything (hot flashes, mood swings and night sweats) subsided, then three months ago they all came back. Today (June 20, 2023) I stumble onto your channel and thank god! Recently, I have returned to my keto lifestyle but the scale hasn’t budged and equally important the night sweats are miserable. The information you shared was incredibly insightful and I think will be another step of self help for me. Thank you. Bell a new subscriber.

Garden eggs AKA eggplant are like avocados they reduce blood sugar so support estrogen. A Ghanaian dish is boiling and mashing garden eggs and mixing it with a good fat: palm oil(the one ethically sourced and unrefined). They add tomato and aromatics. They eat this with African yam a root vegetable. So this dish is great for womens' hormones.

Recipy for root vegies: Celery salat: Grate 2 celery roots, cut one half of the leek into very thin slices (circles). Then squeeze the juice out of the mixture with your bare hands. Then grate 1 or 2 carrots and 3 red apples (peel beforehand). Add a little salt and pepper. For the best taste: mix with a little (not too much) mayo or fresh cream. Leave to stand overnight (but it doesn't have to be). O yeah, and ENJOY. Yam yam

Bravo, Frankie! Thank you for sharing! :) What many non-vegan health professionals miss is emotional, spiritual and environmental health. The meat carries negative energy from the animals being mistreated and disrespected. Also the industry and one's unconscious choice of eating cow meat, chickens, fish and so on. Being conscious and proactive about supporting these billions of these BEINGS' rights is uplifting one's spiritual and emotional health. Veganism, especially with local vegan food, is better for nature and doesn't create the issue of extra carbon footprint. So many studies have proven that vegans, especially those having healthy food, are generally healthier and have lower risk to serious diseases. This is the bigger picture, including spiritual health and sustainability. I love the work of Dr Sat Dharam Kaur and The Complete Natural Guide to Women's Health! Seaweed, seeds, nuts contain good amount of tryptophan. Probably the vegan supplement is helpful. If you don't know the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village, you may resonate with the 5 mindfulness trainings and Engaged Buddhism. Sending love and blessing! :)

So many medical and historic professionals have proven vegan diets are healing and anti inflammatory as compared to a keto diet. And even those medical professionals that swear we need meat in some form do not recommend keto as a lifetime or long term eating style, but only For a short term phase to be ended at some point.

But I don’t think the carob chips are very healthy so I didn’t buy them again. Sometimes I also add flax powder to my quinoa, I change it up once in awhile.
