Great explanations and demo, definitely practice and don't rush into full manual mode, too expensive of a risk, progress with confidence and practice. Btw. surprised you can fly so close to Airplane flight paths (airport near by?). We have to stay like 3km radius away and many areas near planes are forbidden/blocked while others need special permissions to be requested even with restricted flight heights of 90m.

I still don't see why you want to kill the spring. Seems like I would rather have it as an automatic return to level. What's so hard about levering it with the spring? But I am no FPV pro.

Because there is nothing like that in manual mode. It just controls throttle.

You make it sound so easy. I got my controller yesterday for the avata 2. Went through a couple batteries with the springs and noticed how much more control I have compared to the motion control...although the motion control is fun ;). Do I only un-spring the left stick and not the right?

5:07 any idea what's going on with that glow around the drone's shadow? I get the same thing with my Avata 2. Whenever I can see it's shadow in direct sunlight, there's always that glow around it. Anyone know why?

Yes it does but not if you're flying in close proximity and remember this is a Cinewoop , it's not like it's a 5 inch freestyle quad we're latency really matters!

Great good video, but manual/acro mode is not simple at all. I would recommend getting a simulator to really get a feel for how a FPV drone acts. I would also watch a video that shows exactly what every stick input do and how to combine them to for instance do a wide turn. The angel/level mode should not be used to much as it gives u a muscle memory that will make it way harder to get into full acro, the sim liftoff was clear about that by not letting you fly to much level mode in tutorials etc. I spent about 10-15h in a simulator doing tutorials and a lot of free flight and then you should be able to stay steady in the air and keep evolving your skills and become better. Just wanted to share some insight, the most important thing you should take from this is to use a simulator BEFORE flying in either angle/level mode and full acro mode. It helps a ton! Amazing video bro, but I thought it would be necessary to save some pilots from getting to confident and just jumping straight into manual/acro mode. Cheers.

These are great tips don't get me wrong but I would highly recommend to practise in a simulator like Liftoff. Get comfortable there first then try manual mode.

I watched many other KZbin channels and I ended up crashing my brand-new drone ( no damage done it just flipped over when trying to takeoff ) because nobody has made it clear as you have. Didn't even mention about adjusting the springs on the left stick.. your clear instructions and the way you repeat yourself over and over personally I feel is great 👍 some people might be put off by it for the other KZbin channels just go through Too quick for me personally to process .. so a big thumbs up from me ... Hey brother!! Thanks for the video, really nice tutorial. One question that I have to you, I'm already piloting it in manual mode for some weeks and I always notice some strange moves when I do more fast turns, did you face it too? I'm a little bit scare of trying more bold moves because it always happens to me, and most of the times I need to press the pause button because sometimes it just turns upside down from nowhere. I hear some people saying that had this issue, but it has happened a lot to me.

I would highly recommend to get a simulator like LiftOff and practice for at least 10 hours there. That’s considered as the minimum practice hours you should have before flying a fpv drone irl.

Really quick history I come from RC planes as a kid then two or so decades later 3-D helicopters and it’s probably been well over five years since I’ve touched any of my helicopters and the Avada 2 was my first drone after watching tons of videos on drones and didn’t understand FPV or rather, I had never heard of it and I spotted the FPV one and I almost bought it because it was more in the price range of what I wanted at the time because it was an open box and I came across the Avada and the Avada 2, and at first glance, I thought they looked kind of stupid and the FPV heavy monster looks super cool. Anyway, I started looking for something less expensive and considered the Avada one and then I finally just decided that was stupid. Every review I saw said the Avada to almost hands-down was talented as DJI very best FPV for beginners all the way through potentially experts and it had added versatility, because of the prop guards and its programming, and all of the things that are mind blowing that DJI put into these drones. I’m sure I just lost the entire audience, but hopefully you read the last line because I will say I flew first with the motion controller in beginner than normal than sport and I let my 10-year-old son fly it around and then I graduated us to the remote 3 and I found your video Before I went out to try it and I have to say thank you and you can’t imagine how appreciative I am because within a couple of batteries I moved my son up to sport mode with the remote three and I had my first flight with manual mode with training wheels, and then full attitude limiter turned off manual mode and even tried a little bit of acro very high up over 100 feet. I truly mean this, that DJI should post this video on their website and put it in there tutorials because the way you went through explaining the various features and the things you had to turn on and off to have a successful progression to manual and eventually was spot on and absolutely incredible so thank you thank you thank you I have now flown several batteries and full Aro and I have still not crashed it yet. Although I know I will as I bring the altitude down and start doing stupid stuff like looping trees, etc, ******DJI if you read this, you have to post this video on your website and in your tutorials because this video blows away all others that I have watched and I have spent many hours.*******

Hi friend, when i press Puase button the avata 2 pause, but how can i remove the pause? im trying to be more confident and in the normal mode the buttom when i pressed was pause, but i cant remove pause easily, im so scared to take on the manual mode, the logic is: One tap to pause and one tap to unpause? here dosent work..

Having watched a bunch of videos on the avata by now, I was starting to think that it’s absolutely the wrong drone for ppl who want to fly manual mostly because once ppl start using the regular controller, they treat it like an acro FPV drone, and crash it…. In my opinion that’s pretty dumb because you can’t fix it yourself.. you do however make an interesting suggestion about using the pause button… which is valueable… That said, learning to fly FPV means crashing, and this is a damn inconvenient drone to crash… I think these uses of the avata are missing the actual intended use of the avata: as a cinewhoop. The thing is meant as a camera for catching video in a more dynamic “flying” perspective than you could get with a mavic…. And that’s it. The avata is a camera, not a drone. For half the price you can get a FPV drone that is much more repairable and capable of ripping through the air like most ppl seem to want to… Still, as a trainer drone, I think you make great points, and the goggles that come with the avata are the best on the market so far…. So let me suggest that after people learn the absolute basics of manual flying as you suggest, that thy then buy a compatible air unit and put it into a racer frame that is more nimble and can take more abuse…. Keep your avata for cinematography
