Oh my;) I decided to make this for dinner tonight. I had everything except ground beef so I cut up steak I had in the fridge, and coated the pieces with flour, and fried it up. After that, I followed Steve’s recipe to the “T” and my dinner got rave reviews. It is literally the best stroganoff I’ve ever had! I think that consommé is the secret. Thank you thank you❤️I’m going to try it next time with ground beef.

A beef consume is beef stock that’s been clarified by adding egg whites, ground meats, mirepoix, etc. to form a raft that traps all of the impurities from the stock. Also, I noticed you used 1/3 c of water and flour, I learned that you could use less water and replace the flour with cornstarch, that way you don’t have to work to hard to keep that rich beef flavor because you won’t have as much water. I love this recipe! I’m going to try it out today.

How much cornstarch can I use?

I made this for my family tonight for dinner and BOTH of my daughters loved it! Even our picky eater who normally hates mushrooms went to town and had about three heaping bowls of this stuff! At first I was worried about adding the tomato paste because I was concerned it was going to ruin the dish but it actually enhanced the flavor! My only complaint was the gravy got a little too thick for my liking but I just added a splash of milk and it solved the problem and made it nice and creamy without ruining it! We served it over egg noodles. The hubby still isn't home yet from his volunteer job at a horse rescue he works at but when he gets home he's going to try it and I can't wait to see his reaction! Thank you for keeping this video up. RIP shotgun Red

🙄 THAT is about the biggest lie anyone can possibly ever come up with as a "reason" for young and younger people's deaths! My son was killed in an accident when he was 31, and I knew perfectly well that it was nothing but his being careless with how he put his gun back together in order to test fire it....and that by no means were there "greater things planned" for him!! I'm not going to be quiet about that, because your ignorant, cruel statement is extremely misleading, and you gave it no thought, but blathered off some idiotic thing you heard at some time. PLEASE STOP AND THINK BEFORE MAKING SUCH HIDEOUS, STUPID, HURTFUL STATEMENTS ABOUT DEATH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olive oil will actually cause the gravy or whatever else you want on the noodle to not stick. If you are able to put your noodles into the sauce right away after draining, you won't need to worry that they stick and they will hold the sauce a lot better. Pro tip!

Mix together a couple packets of Au Jus gravy mix in place of the Campbell’s Beef consommé. Deeper flavor in my opinion. Add half the amount of water it calls for on the packet. We also keep a couple more things on hand to boost things when need. Better Than Bouillon (which is very condensed) a little bit goes a long way. We also keep on hand a big jar of Knorr beef bouillon powder. Start with the Au Jus then add a lil bit of those mentioned seasoning in place of salt while cooking and let the eater adjust if they need more salt. Kid tested and mother approved 😁

I am damn near sixty and have always eaten my ground beef with just a little pink still in it; whether it was in a burger or pan fried as his is. Have never had any adverse actions on me. When much younger, around twenty, I was in charge of the grill. I would leave a little pink (heated, just not browned) in the middle for my Father, my Brother, and my burgers. I would start my Step-Mother's burgers several minutes earlier. They had to be hockey pucks for her, no pink and no juices coming out. Even if the juice was clear, she would put it in a pan on the stove and fry the crap out of it. The flat top grill monkeys in the chow hall would burn the crap out of the burgers too. They were very, very thin so charring them trough was easy. After petrifying them they put them in a metal tin on the grill filled with water to try and rehydrate them and keep them warm, so they could at least be chewed.

Never add butter before onions friend what you did is drew all good stuff out of them before ready by doing that, Onions have so much liquid that it’s enough for first 5 minutes only after if you want the taste of butter which is awesome then you add.
