Never mind how many of his various crews that he sent to their deaths such as that lower decks Bajoran girl... To a certain extent, the entire universe that had the Federation being replaced with an universe with the confederation is on his hands too as well replacing everyone in this confederation universe with those in the federation universe should they succeed in their mission. Regardless of what Picard does, an entire universe of mostly innocent people will simply no longer exist all by his hands and this version of Elnor is also one of them.

They are trying to revert the timeline anyways, if they succeed, Elnor will never have left on this mission. Never mind reverting to before the shot, it would be a completely different Elnor who never would've been on the mission if they succeed in their mission. Indeed there would suddenly be other versions of themselves which never went on this mission and they may just become anachronisms whose existence are separate from the timelines, they would be time paradoxes.

@objectdefiance40272 жыл бұрын
Don't question these folks they have an irrational hatred for any and all New Trek. I really wish I didn't get into arguments online with these people because now I whenever I watch an episode and enjoy myself I always think in the back of my mind the specific thing in each episode people are going to hate on. For what it's worth in a decade or two it'll be treated like ST Enterprise. Flawed but good. Whatever is the new shows will be hated then. It's the pattern that happens to new star trek shows. It happened to the next generation, ds9, voyager. It'll keep happening mark my words. The arguments just become more and more traditional and Orthodox.
@j.rileyindependentproductions2 жыл бұрын
Not just a reason, an understandable reason. I love the writing this season really showcasing characters who aren't privy to decades' worth of the specific knowledge we as the audience have of other characters. Sure, if she'd grown up watching TNG and VOY, she'd know that Picard is not involved in the decisions that Q plays. It's not a duel between them, it's "put Picard in a maze, let's see how he works his way out of it this time," mentality. Picard is the rat, the test upon which the Q are making judgments. She CANNOT be aware of this, the rest of the cast cannot be aware of this, except potentially the Borg Queen. I do hope there ends up some more deal with the devil aspect later on when it comes to the queen, because as for now, it seems as if she's Picard's best ally in fixing time.

Well that's a hell of a spoiler to stumble across. Glad I don't care about this awful show.

Couldn't they have just killed the queen so Elnor could survive.
@blairbrown48122 жыл бұрын
Apparently,the crew needed the Queen's knowledge of time travel to arrive at the point where history went off the rails in order to make things right. Needs of the many,and all that.

This show is great and then Raffi has to be all woke on Picard ffs.

Good. Too many useless characters in this show. Last season most of them stood hung around. Good to see Jeri Ryan back in the saddle, shame the character she is playing is nothing like the one she played on Voyager.

These 'emotional' scenes always make Raffi come off like an unprofessional buffoon.

Since when did Raffy care so much for Elnor? Also how come Picard doesn't care so much about Elnor now? This is simply bad writing.

She warmed up to him in Season 1, and since they lived together for two years (post Season 1), they clearly bonded and she became a mother to him.

RAffi/Elnor plot was annoying. Let him die and move on with the sorry instead of her whining half of the episode.

....and nothing of value (that wasn't a complete silly waste of time) was lost. Elnors character was pointless and silly anyway. He seemed forced, a weird little space ninja. He has no history in any star trek show and his relationship with picard wasn't even well developed. It just seemed like an awkward strange thing that didn't need to be. And why is raffi so pissed about it? She has no previous relationship with him either, not that we know of. So I really just don't understand what the point of any of these relationships are or how they work. They're just random, disconnected, and weird. Nothing about them is natural. Another example, who the fuck is raffi? She was never a character in any previous show but turns up in season one like picards super best friend... wtf? How did that happen? no clue. Interpersonal relationships in this show are just wild and unnatural
