I'm taking a class in complex analysis using Stein's book, and last class we started talking about infinite products, and this relation of convergence between Σ a_n and Π(1+a_n) Very nice timing! I managed to watch without subs and roughly understand what's going on (sometimes pausing and trying to read the text, I realize I can now read some of the kanji words too, so my japanese studying has been working :D)

Like me, some of your fans may enjoy hearing the Japanese audio while still having the English subtitles. I recommend to just keep the English subtitles❤

Eh, i'd much rather watch with subtitles than listen to dubbing. The original charm just doesn’t carry over to English. There's something about two characters with high pitched baby voices discussing college level math that feels natural in japanese maybe because trying to be cute is more common in Japanese media but it comes off as awkward and unsettling when presented in english. Also, there's something fascinating about hearing math discussed in a language that's not English/European. Where I live, anything beyond basic school-level mathematics (and academics in general) is almost exclusively communicated in English, with local languages pushed out of formal discourse thanks to centuries of colonialism.
