Thanks for sharing your experiences Frank. I felt the world completely disappear and then every single particle/atom reform itself. That morning was the best morning I have ever had. Felt reborn. I also felt that tip toeing between life and death and not wanting to step over. Soon as I let go and realise that I have no control I felt much better. Also your mukbang made me really hungry. Better than consciousness, or even awareness (although I use the latter myself), is perhaps the term awakeness; not surprisingly, one of the Buddhist terms for the field is the buddhadhatu, i.e. the awakeness-field.

Psychedelics have helped me pierce holes in my conception of what reality is. That’s all they did. But having conviction that things aren’t as they appear can help your meditation practice because you already know that reality as we perceive it is is an illusion. That said, There is no short cut to attainment. You have to practice. Without drugs.

Think about it as a very visceral first person experiment that has been conducted for 1000s of years that leads to mostly similar results (insight maps). Its not a mental thought/belief that you acquire like almost anything else. You do a certain practice to understand the true nature of ur experience. That claim is useless in terms of being able to prove but once attained its the most self-confirming experience ever.
