He also said in Spanish: "look how we are living". This shows that a lot of them don't actually want to live up there and it isn't necessarily a cultural thing but rather a financial urge. I am a Bolivian, and I get village's people way of thinking about foreigners. They dont trust them much because they are afraid they may get their few things stolen and even their children (which happened many times). A good way to approach them is by offering them basic supplies or gifts they may need. Once they accept you, they treat you like the best guest, they invite you food, talk to you and share with you their stories and culture. Bolivian people can be shy at first, but we are one of the most humble, gentle and nicest people out there🤗🤗
