@@paulinemegson8519 And you're both completely missing the point. When protests are constant, constantly disruptive, that's a completely different thing. London is known for its constant protests, and not just recently. It's habitual. Let's see, one time it was airport control tower employees, who suddenly dropped everything and walked out, then tube/train employees, etc. You name it, the British will protest it. Now it's doctors, pro-Palistinians disrupting everything. As an American, my London visit was postponed due to this. Not wasting time and money to come, only to have things suddenly shut down.

My children say that; I always worry that the waitress thinks she is out of a job; because they want to get their food themselves from the kitchen! Hello John. Happy Saturday! Will admit to feeling a little disappointed when I read the thumbnail saying that Horse Guards was going to be shut down and everyone thrown out. However .... it turned out to be rather an enjoyable walk with you. You showed me things I actually hadn't seen before (and I'm a UK born and bred girl) and told me about clubs and lovely places along your walk home. Like you, I didn't know about Gainsborough once living in the building, and was thrilled to see the blue plaque! Thank you so much John, for the most enjoyable, educational, and fun walk around the areas of London, near to Horse Guards. I LOVED it! ❤ *P.S* - 'Guys' is perfectly alright with me. There's always someone who will find something to complain about! 😜 Stay safe, keep warm and wishing you a blessed rest of your day! ~ Cobs (UK)

It's the Canadian High Commission, not embassy or consulate. Canada is one of the King's Realms so doesn't send an ambassador to the UK. Instead there is a representative of the Governor-General ie a High Commissioner. Canadian representation in other realms eg Australia or New Zealand is also through a High Commission. Also, consulates are sub-offices of embassies not the main office. So for example a country might have an embassy in Berlin as the capital of Germany but subordinate consulates in cities such as Munich, Hamburg or Bonn. Hope that clarifies it for everyone.

Thanks again, John. What a fascinating day. I don't think any of us could have predicted. It turned out like this. I really enjoy your taking this round to other places close by 2 horse guards. So reminds me of being up in London and I love it. Thank you for being so fair with the people you come across and with the police officers in particular. Who are all so respectful to you. And you back to them, which is such a lovely thing to see and hear. Take care going, get warmed up for the rest of the day.❤

So happy to see that the guards and horses are being kept safe. The guards and horses are not a tourist attraction. But unfortunately, they have become one to the uneducated public. There needs to be new rules set only because of these tourists. Paint white borders like inside around the horse box so the guards can tell them to not cross. I get so upset when I see all these germs from tourists being put in to the horses mouth, along with coffee cups, soda straws etc. There are so many crazies out there they should really be afraid of someone putting something deadly on their hands on purpose. They have no respect for the guards or horses, it's just awful. Oh and John, thank you for the very informative videos you do.

Hey John, It was lovely to see a little more of London and the area near Horse Guards. I wonder if it is possible for you to film some more around the parade ground at Horse Guards and explain some of the horse statues we saw in one of your earlier videos when you walked down from The Mall. Thank you for the videos and the commentary. Loved the big horse with the 4 white socks and blaze. He seemed like a real sweetheart.

'Trafalgar Square was built to memorialise Lord Horatio Nelson's victory against Napoleon's navy at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. During the planning of Nelson's Column, the committee in charge had decided that placing four lions at the base of the statue would represent the heroism of Lord Nelson.' 👌🏻
