Only ISLAM can give you answer for everything. Islam is the ONLY way, whether you like it or not. You just have to open your eyes and HUMBLE yourself as much as you can in front of your Creator to be able to see it. I am an EX-Christian and I can confirm with 100% certainty that Christian view on "loving God" and the whole crucifixion issue is very limited and distorted. There is absolutely NO NEED for a man (Jesus pbuh) to die on the cross for sins of others - God can easily forgive or punish whomever He wishes without all this drama (Ezekiel 18:20). Because HE IS GOD. The Almighty. I went to therapy for several years. One of major issues (among many😅) was i was afraid of sleep. Long story short, before even accepting Christ, i opened my Bible and came to Psalm 4:8. "I lay down ans sleep in peace, for with you O'Lord, i dwell in safety". Not long after, i accepted Christ. And not long after that, my therapist told me i didnt need him any longer. My therapist was wonderful, he got me to a place where leaving my house wasn't so nerve wracking. Jesus did the rest. She is absolutely correct. All we need is Jesus. He is our Healer, our Peace, Our Savior. Glory to God!

Charity to strangers, the perceived role of the government in matters of welfare, hospitals, charitable institutions, and a myriad other societal expectations that extend from a Judeo-Christian society and/or culture. Certainly not perfect, but those promoting these things largely do so on some version of love for their fellow man as seen in Scripture. My point was just that, as Glen Scrivener's book says, it's in the air that we breathe.

Those reasons can be personal, logical, moral or a combination or many different types of reasons. I am sure Alex is seeking a sensible, reasonable and logical answer. An enlightened answer(s). As I read the Bible I see that ultimately all will be reconciled to God and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father and so God will be all and in all. This has been achieved through the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Christ. I would contend that it's is not eternal constant torment but that eternal punishment (aionias kolasis) is correctly translated the chastisemnent of that age. Aionios does not mean forever and ever but has a duration which is modified by the noun it is describing. That noun kolasis is restorative punishment and if retributive punishment was intended the noun timoria would have been used. God will reconcile all to himself through and in Christ (Colossians 1v15-20) and the conclusion to Paul's great argument in Romans supports this (Romans 11v32-36). This is not to undermine the gravity of our sin but God's wrath is against Sin and Death which are the last enemies to be destroyed (I Cor 15) and ultimately every knee shall bow and every tongue confess thatJesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Phillipians 2v9-11). God is Good and he is always Good. Grace and Peace.

@ if you do a Word search but do not search of the words. You cannot arrest the meaning of the passage by the one word you like. If you cannot handle the passages in English escaping to the original languages to find some preferred hidden/forgotten meaning that the translators missed can be quite arrogant if you are not careful. Finally you cannot use Paul’s words to negate our LORD’s. They are in accord and if they weren’t the words of Jesus would supersede Paul. And He warned us that Judgement was final. The best options based on scripture ( I don’t mean likable, but logical from scripture) Are Eternal punishment or annihilation. As Jesus warned about the eternal state I’d want to warn people to avoid it at all costs

What she said about therapy not exactly having the answers any more than Christianity, that is something I have found to be true too. Job's lament, "God has given, and God has taken away. Blessed be the LORD." has carried me through far more trials than anything my therapist was ever able to do. In my darkest season in life, I went down a study on how Christians lament, and found that Christians lament through turning sorrow into worship. This included studying the hymn It Is Well with My Soul, which goes from great lose to Christ's return. While my spiritual advisor was telling me my grief was going to lead me away from God, I was writing a song called Still Your Praise I'll Sing. In addition to the hope in Christianity when all else is futile, there is the glorious revelation that God is so much bigger than us. Watching your little empire collapse is a good time to realize the eternal kingdom of heaven.
