Having binged this series in may 2022, there where so many "oh yeah that was a thing" moments, the monoliths, the murderhornets, people making bread, and looking back I realise that I miss something about those days, the feeling of bewilderment and dread, the anxiety over what will happen next. The apathy really feels like I lost a big chunk of my humanity.

Remember in 2020, when we were still counting the duration of the crisis in days, then weeks, then months? I've given up on all that now and am counting it in Julie's pandemic videos, because honestly it's the least depressing unit of time at this point.

This series has been almost like a warm blanket of "it's okay. We all feel like this." I now am diagnosed with anxiety, my grandfather died of covid, my wife left me, and i now live in a basement. Yeah, season 3 of the covid show is bad. Thank you for the laughs Julie. We need them!

I feel like August 2021 Julie does encapsulate how I felt perfectly! Case numbers were low, vaccines seemed to make life easier if you had gotten one. In general there was a small feeling of "life may be slowly getting back to normal". Then omicron came and destroyed all hopes of covid going away soon.

I've developed a love/dread relationship for this series. I love it because you're both hilarious and a brilliant actor/creator and the series perfectly sums up all the insanity that's happening since 2020. But at the same time each new edition is a reminder on just how long this insanity has been going on for with no end in sight. So while I do love this series and have recommended it to tons of people, it will also be nice when the day comes when there's no need for any more follow up parts.

For nearly a decade, when things went wrong the metric of hope was always "At least Betty White is still ok." She lived a beautiful and long life, but the idea she's not okay is such a collective feeling of hope lost. Julie, you captured that sense of fuckitall I think plenty of us felt.

Maybe try to travel more, try new things, meet new people, go to places we never thought of going before, change up the routine of life but we can't do any of that. Instead, we're just supposed to sit at home and do nothing forever and ever. I don't know how much of this I can take.

I know what you mean, and by your name I imagine that we're alike in our desire to see the world. I certainly feel stuck too, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that we can't do anything. If you have the will, there's many virtual opportunities for connecting with loved ones and virtual and non-virtual opportunities for learning new skills, like I've been working on learning the guitar. There's probably even ways to meet like minded people over some platforms out there. There are certainly ways to change up our routines if we choose to.

I don't want to think to deep about it, but it occurred to me that this pandemic is kind of following the phases of grief. Just mixed up with different people in different phases, at the same time. We had shock, denial (oh, boy did we), rage, bargaining (lots of bargaining), depression. Now I'm seeing some early signs of acceptance peeking through the depression.

Oof me too. Except I turned 30 at the beginning of the pandemic. I'm turning 32 soon and I feel like my life was completely put on hold in my late 20s but my body is still aging and it SUCKS.

So yes, teachers are being forced back into schools with no social distancing in Quebec and most of Canada as of this Monday despite our healthcare system collapsing before our eyes.

I am not sure that there will ever be a time where we can draw a line and say "Before this moment: CoViD-19. After it: no CoViD-19". That might be the wrong goal to have. I am thinking that it will just fade into the background (with occasional spikes) and life will slowly approach its new, non-pandemicky normal. And, btw, that could take months, or years, or even decades.

This Past Julie is from August 2021 - there's a little subtitle giving the date at the beginning. I think in general Past Julie is from the time she made the previous video in the series.

@@SethGames I just went back and checked, and yep - apart from the "1 Year Later" episode, Julie N+1 seems to arrive at most a few minutes after Julie N gets back from visiting Julie N-1. She matches Past Julie's outfit, hairstyle and table-side to Future Julie's from the previous video.
