Contrast set to improve power is usually around 2-4 reps ? With a 8reps range, is it more a kind of tri-set program to develop functional hypertrophy ? =) Thanks for all your amazing content !! :D

Thanks for the videos Especially the ones on baseball However living in the UK we play cricket, not baseball. So pls could u just give a few tips on how to train for cricket( like you have done with baseball). Thc
@3DHDcat5 жыл бұрын
You are bowler or batsman? Regardless you need aerobic endurance because the game is extremely long. Both should incorporate Power cleans, squat, push press Batsman for strength need obliques, lots of rotational work and back exercises. Their skills will be on their hand eye coordination, so you need practice technique than athleticism. Bowlers need shoulders (lots of face pulls) , back, hamstrings work. Track and field work outs sprints. Stuff like parachute training is good to get higher speed. Make sure the rear shoulder is getting enough work at gym or with bands

When you do all the ballistics, do you always do it with that amount of repetitions involving the glycolytic system?
@onemoretraining6 жыл бұрын
Hello, great content as usual, just one question: How come that sometimes you go max 5 reps for explosiveness and for example triceps/back you also use like supersets with 20 reps? Just curious about the purpose, thank you very much.
@overtimeathletes6 жыл бұрын
Just depends what I'm trying to work with them but if I stay under 5 I'm working more strength and power where anything over 10 I may be stimulating hypertrophy or endurance
@onemoretraining6 жыл бұрын
@@overtimeathletes Yo, i have probably seen every video from you, even bought some plans and i have noticed that you combine that explosive power with high reps in supersets so i was curious about that, becuase of the combination of fast and slowtwitch muscle fibers. How long of recovery do you find is enough after let's say upper/lower body explosive power and plyometrics? Thank you and keep bringing the great content, i love it as an athlete and a coach.

Could you explain as to why you utilize the bands with the power pushups? I understand resistance increases as you stretch the band, therefore a need for increase force to overcome resistance. Does it just produce more power?
@JustarandomJames3 жыл бұрын
It's to train on explosiveness take away a little bit of the resistance at the bottom so that you have more ability to push harder and actually fill yourself explode through it rather than just pushing back up

Why are they using a band for the power pushups? Doesn't that make it easier? What's the reason for that?
@XXLRebel6 жыл бұрын
To allow you to be more explosive. You're essentially training your ballistic capability. You want to explode as fast as you can from the ground so you can activate all your fast twitch muscles when needed.

Aren’t the orange bands making the pushups easier?
@robscott96045 жыл бұрын
Yeh but with power training you usually lower the weight and focus on just producing as much force as you can
@ethanbravin8945 жыл бұрын
No it makes harder to go down and easier to go up, basically sits too focus more on the chest
